He has probably had to take a loss cause the sheik saw how much they valued the ground a laughed his tits off and gave them the real value of the club

Think so. Some talk of a link with the bloke who was involved with Charlton last year, which doesn't sound very promising! Could work out ok - but certainly looks to be potential for it not to......... dcfcfans.uk/topic/37016-el-derby-county/

At least 3 parties waiting in the wings. That amazes me, given the current climate where other articles are foretelling trouble for several clubs in this league.

I’ve got a mate who knows Mel Morris and reckons that the ‘Bin Laden’ deal won’t go through and is doubtful the Alonso deal will pass the EFL test mainly because he’s as dodgy as fuck evidenced by his dealings at Sheff Weds and his mate at Charlton but also because the EFL will want to punish Derby for making them look twats over FFP. The other bidder is a consortium of local businessmen which is never a good sign for a ‘big’ club. Apparently Mel Morris is not a well man and just wants out even though it looks like he might take as much as a £200m hit on the deal. If I was thinking of buying, it would be that figure I’d be scared of. So it makes you wonder what the motivation of the foreign buyers is. If I was a Derby fan I’d be cacking it. Although it doesn’t sound like Morris will just ditch them. He’s too much of a fan.

Burnley a good example and Serie A, Bundesliga and La Liga all considering some form of deal. Wont lead to massive investment in players for sure. Stoke City potentially big winners when the dust settles and the state of finance in the game is known

Yes the Bin Laden deal sounds very suspicious to me after all this time of nothing happening.I know nothing about the Spanish fly by night either but I’d heard a rumour that a local consortium were after buying the club. Morris told local radio last night that the Bin Laden deal has until the 15th March to complete or they’ll pull the plug.No doubt they’ll announce a deal with someone before we play them on the Saturday 🙄

My mate reckons Alonso is some sort of agent come boxing promoter. A bit of a 'fixer' which definitely sounds dodgy. Not got any money himself but brokers deals with finance companies/individuals along the lines of the Dean Holdsworth role at Bolton. Which ended well didn't it.

How much does it cost to buy Derby County FC? And what do you actually get for the money? What are they paying for? Is the physical stadium included?

What a shower of shite they are. Could they not see through this con artist from the off. And now they're even considering a bid from Erik Alonso a snake oil salesman who even the EFL wouldn't let near the basket case Sheffield Wednesday. Still never mind they've got those local businessmen Big Dave from Dave's Auto's in Normanton and Fat Les from Les' Carpets in Chaddesden waiting in the wings. I'm sure they can rustle up a couple of hundred quid between them as a bid.
Deserve everything they're getting. Sheepshagging twats.

Isn't he Chairman at Mickleover at the minute Crouchie? Perhaps they could dig Sam Longson up for another go as well.
