They’ll win without Coco round the team you watch.

Spot on mate and I keep telling the deluded idiots round here the same So you’ must be confident that super wealthy Arab owners won’t come up with some creative accounting scheme, and will patiently wait for the club to progress, without looking for a way to invest. If so, I hope your confidence is justified. We don’t need things making any more difficult! I’m not sure how you think they’re going to achieve that feat though mate. They very nearly got their fingers seriously burned with their last little accounting sleight of hand. If the EFL hadn’t ballsed it up by overlooking it in the first place they’d be playing in division one now.

I wonder if a certain Mr W Rooney is still getting his wedge though.
Didn't they get around FFP by paying him 2 salaries (before he took over as manager) - 1 as a player and 1 as a coach?

Hope they sort it out. Just a bit shit see a club go down the drain, no matter what you think of them.

Hard to sympathise with Derby after recent shenanigans, so another points deduction might be quite fitting.
I don't ever want to see clubs go out of business (for the fans sake) but it pains me when certain ones seem to get away with breaking / bending the rules...usually those with most money, strangely...

Local media are still expecting the takeover to happen by the end of the week🤔but you have to say this is looking more and more unlikely. Why would you need a loan if the takeover was imminent?

Quite Agree...Points deductions is one thing...which should be more widely used. Admin is quite another.

One of my best friends is a Derby supporter and I really don't want this to happen to any club except Liverpool maybe! Quite a few of my mates are Derby Fans. I would laugh my cock off if it all fell through. It won't though, and they wouldn't go bump even if it did. Morris is just being a twat. They should still have £40m from the overvaluation of Pride Park sloshing around somewhere anyway.

The thing that gets me is that these people are supposed to be part of the richest family in the world so who's quibbling over what? Is it just Morris being a twat and trying to rip them off? Possibly. Or is it the buyers penny pinching? Worrying for any future investment. If they're so rich and fully intend to buy them why don't they loan the club the money to pay the players? Who knows. But if I was a Derby fan I'd be shitting it.

In terms of the FFP calculations submitted to the EFL, only 50% of a player coach/manager’s salary counts towards the spend.

Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

Really I did not know that why we dont we make all our big earners player coaches and half our ffp wage problem.

Probably not penny pinching, maybe re adjusting the sale price according to the sellers financial position bit like a game of poker ,happens all the time in business sales.

It’s not true, the only adjustments that can be made to the losses for FFP purposes are things like youth development and the women’s side of it. If it was true clubs could go all out and recruit some of the best managers around - as oppose to lower league ones.
