should be getting sky Q in a week....with 4k Is it much better? Unless they've improved 4k in the last six months, I'd have to say it isn't much better. When I bought my 4k TV a couple of years ago I was all eager to watch the channel that claimed to be showing 4k transmissions, but to be honest it's hard to spot the difference. Great for watching nature programs and films that are produced with UHD, but not football.

4K programmes on Netflix, iPlayer and other streaming sites are far superior to HD. With our Panasonic plasma TV honestly couldn’t tell much difference between SD and HD but 4K is on another planet imo.

I find a huge difference in standard definition to HD.
I've not long brought a QLED TV though and have sky Q (but not skysports). Ive not noticed any difference in quality. What is the crack? Should I notice a difference? Are their specific channels ????

How do I know if something is 4k (is QLED 4k or is this something completely different). Confuses the f##k out of me

Depends on your tv and how far away from it you are. 4k isn’t so much better than hd is than sd. If that makes sense 😂
But you can tell the difference

I find HD much better but i havent seen 4k football It is spot on, you'll love it. I brought my 4K TV 3 years ago now and the difference from HD is definitely noticable. I don't really use it anymore though as I ditched my Sky sports subscription earlier this year due to the extortionate cost.

I find 4k is crisper and cleared than HD. QLED, OELD just different types of hardware systems that that modern tv's use but the 4k is down to the extra pixels that are available for all types. HDR systems that give better colour ranges are less consistent - sky uses HLG, Netflix often used Dolby vision but these are not 4k dependent. Netflix, amazon , sky will also say if the programme is in UHD/4k and Dolby atmos if you have the capability to listen in that mode

Only way to see a big difference is have both side by side. Otherwise you never really notice too much. Like anything else really, unless got something to compare it to its harder to see the difference.

HD is streets ahead of SD - anyone who can’t tell at a glance has eyesight problems (seriously) - 4K UHD is again fairly a obvious step up but not as stark as the SD To HD.

I don’t think it does football too many favours to be honest, obviously it’s a bit better but not that it makes a difference to the enjoyment of a football match

Confuses the f##k out of me When you select a programme to watch it will tell you somewhere on the screen before you select play what format it is streaming in. Just one thing though your wifi download speed will need to be above 25 mbps to get 4k or it reverts to the highest definition it can handle.

From what the bloke told me in Currys PC World what we buy in this country is basically other countries shit they don’t want, for example 4K is years old in Japan who broadcast in 12k at a guess.
Said we’re light years behind in our broadcasting, same goes for our ISP’s.
Quick check Japan have 16k, it’d make your eyes bleed no doubt
