1) McClean is far from finished 2) don’t play Tymon in a defensive position
Any more

We are much better without Powell on the pitch.

3 at the back at home is not guaranteed turgid shit as we’re meant to believe.

This system works best when teams come on to us. However we knew that already.
Tommy Smith is out of form

McLean would be my first name on the team sheet, and that is not based just on todays fame, but every game he's played in. He makes mistakes because he is always trying to do things. He is attack minded and hives the rest a lift. What he may lack in pace- he's not that slow- he more than makes up for in fight and attacking instinct.

That Josh Tymon has his own banner on which he's depicted as as having one normal hand and one inexplicably massive hand (like a reverse Beadle).

3 at the back at home is not guaranteed turgid shit as we’re meant to believe. Provided the other team attacks you. Indeed, it probably suits most games away from home ( as we’ve seen this season) and a minority of home games where we expect to have less of the ball

We need a leader on the pitch to galvanise all that talent to common purpose. Great result today and so much to admire but a 3 nil scoreline should not end in a nail biting finish.

Ye dont water the bloody pitch, the back pass would have been okay if it wasn't for the surface water ☺️

Provided the other team attacks you. Does any formation change that? Formations that allow you to take the initiative rather than setting up to play on the break do, yes. Formations that find some space for a bit of creativity. I think the manager got things 100% spot on today but in games where we need to break other teams down you need someone behind the strikers who can pick a lock.

We’re still susceptible to careless defensive mistakes.
Not getting off to a slow start is essential.

We need a dedicated LWB, if we are to keep this formation all season, Fox, Tymon and McClean aint wingbacks. Fox probably a decent enough LB ( not seen enough of him here to comment) McClean, had a great game there today but we know that will be few and far between and is better suited further up the field. Tymon seems to play better in midfield so id keep him there.
So in essence we need a Rico Henry ;-)

Maybe if he takes his loan seriously and learns and grows as a player. Looking at stats and stuff for young left backs in the lower league and the lad at Crewe, Harry Pickering name popped up.

We have no wing backs at the club. Spot on but perhaps needs amending to say We STILL have no wing backs at the club. And this after how long? And have we genuinely even got two decent full backs? I'm afraid neither Smith or Fox have inspired me with any confidence to date. When will we get these key positions sorted? A squad of thousands and not a quality full back or wing back amongst them.

I learnt to give up the £10 SCFC stream. Have paid every game and not seen a match in full yet.
Missed the MacClean goal, and kept freezing. Nothing to do with my internet.
