Overall a disappointing performance from England even though we got the bonus point win in the end. The first half was utter tripe and Eddie obviously put a few rockets up certain players as the second half was a bit more like it. I can't really see it happening but English fans on here have got to hope for a narrow French win against Ireland - certainly not enough to beat England's points difference of 44 compared to France's 13, whereas Ireland just have to beat France by more than 7 points to take the title. Allez les Bleus !!!!!! Good win earlier today for Scotland against a fairly poor Welsh team. Only watched the 2nd half and at least got the bonus point but just wanted a few extra points 9even the penalty) from overtime but a target has been set. Like you say a great win for Scotland. I will be flicking over to see how the game in Paris is going.

France are currently +28 points difference but still need to win by a further +16 to equal England's points difference of +44 - it's not going to happen...........is it ?

I wouldn't put it past Ireland "capitulating" late on to hand them the title rather than us π

We could do with Ireland scoring a converted try now just to hurt France's points difference but not enough to give Ireland achance of winning the game.

Not counting my chickens yet because if there's one team capable of self destruction it's the French... looking good though.

I was just looking at the 6 Nations table and Italy have conceded 178 points in their 5 games and have a points difference of -134 ! As somebody said earlier, what do they contribute to the Championship, apart from what used to be a nice trip to Rome every other year for the lucky fans able to afford to go.

I'm glad Ireland aren't going to win it. Not just because it means we'll be champions but due to the fact Ireland are so dull to watch and I can't Sexton the miserable looking tosser.

Game over and England's title ! I've enjoyed watching the game though, apart from a couple of doubts it's been in the bag for England from half time. 5 minutesto go and France still need another 2 converted tries and a penalty, and hope Ireland don't score again. So it looks like England, despite an overall lacklustre campaign, a poor first half today, and a first day defeat in Paris, are 6 Nations Champions - congrats to Eddie and the team/squad !

They should have a 2nd tier 6 nations with one team getting relegated/promoted each year. You could have Georgia, Spain, Romania, Russia and maybe USA and Uruguay even if they had to base themselves in Europe for 6 weeks......

Normality resumed Decent game in Paris and both teams challenging for the title so no roll over. Well done England after that first game.

I agree, Polledri looked quite a good player - apparently he also qualified for England but Eddie didn't select him. As for Italy or Georgia, I think Italy are the better of the two, it just shows what a chasm there is in quality between the "big 5" and the rest in the European game.

I agree, I'm surprised it's never been introduced as it would surely improve the overall standard and competitiveness for the 2nd tier countries.

3 titles in 5 years for Eddie and he has the best win percentage of any England coach. Yet, I still feel there's a lot more to come and we still play with the handbrake on from time to time which is frustrating.
England v France in a few months already looks a belter.
