This whole thing is fucking ridiculous really isn't it?
It may have cost us 2 points last night for a decision that nobody understood and has been overturned in less than 24 hours, which never happens.
Who's going to be responsible for this massive error as we've been well and truly fucked about by the refs.

Seems pretty mad that the lino was convinced enough he saw something that didn't happen to immediately advise the lad is sent off. Would love to hear his explanation

We’ve got a bloke this Saturday who Pulis fell out with after our game at Ipswich one year Keith Stroud,I cant remember what caused it though🤔 Stroud did an interview which was published in the Ipswich match day programme, he said something along the lines of today we have a game between two sides with different styles so it should be interesting, Pulis was angry and said that a referee should go into a game with an open mind and not have preconceived ideas.

No. Just as there was no action against Aguero at weekend for a worse offence with the female linesperson. A worse offence? Why? Because not only did he put his hands on an official but was it was sexist as he thought he could get her to change her mind by putting his arm round her shoulder. In today's climate whatever Guardiola says (and in general the Spanish don't understand racist/sexist behaviour which in itself is a racist statement I know) that was disgusting. She dealt with it brilliantly, firm but no fuss. She is rarely wrong in a decision and I know you notice her more because she's a woman but I think she' s one of the best assistant referees. Last night's should perhaps be made to shadow her for a month and learn how to run the line properly.

That linesman screaming for Collins to be sent off is a disgrace. Any news on his suspension? He shouldn't be let loose on another fixture this weekend.

If referring to Collins suspension, already been overturned. The player who feigned injury to get him sent off should now be banned for 3 games for unsportsmanlike behaviour imo.

If a red card is overturned because a player is feigning injury then they should have the card retrospectively. Fucking cheating barnsley twat and the wank linesman both deserve the inevitable round of fucks that will come when we return to the stadium.

You're going over the top, it was a nothing "incident" really. I thought the same. Should have been a yellow card for putting his hands on an official but nothing more than that. The liner didn't flag for it or ask the ref to intervene so it's clearly not something out of the ordinary or worrisome for her. It really annoys me how Massey-Ellis herself just gets on with her job and the players seem to respect her and treat her the same as her male counterparts, but the media have to make such a fuss whenever anything happens, soley because she's female. She's a bloody good liner, that's the only standard she should be held to.

Personally my feeling is that his actions were affected by the fact it was a woman. But I don't think it's a huge deal and calling it sexist is a stretch. The bigger issue is that players shouldn't be laying their hands on officials full stop. If that was explicit in the rules, he gets a yellow and the matter is dealt with.

Case closed No I have never seen him put an arm around a male official like he did to her. It was very patronising and if you were a woman you might understand why. She has had to be exceptionally good at her job to get where she has with the respect she has. Saying she just ignores it and gets on with the job and so should we is so wrong. There is no reason why women or racial minorities should just have to put up with things. I would love to talk to her and find out if she feels she has to put up with more. I am sure that had last night's assistant been a woman that would have been given as the reason for his ineptitude but you'll never hear it said that it was because he was a man.

I'll just about stop at calling Dean a cheat but anyone who saw the Wilknson's sending off at Portsmouth could only conclude that he was simply incapable of refereeing Stoke in a even handed manner at that time. Luckily the FA agreed and the tosser was kept away from our games for a long while after. That was one of the most outrageous refereeing performances I've ever seen, and I witnessed Styles at Gillingham. Blimey, they really were abysmal displays of refereeing- was it Kevin McNally at Burnley in an FA cup 3rd round who gave Burnley a penalty for nothing and then sent Denis Smith off for not asking permission to return to the pitch after his tackle took him off it? That was equally inept!

Swings and roundabouts though isn't it really? Absolutely not a red card. But you can say the same for the fella that got sent off for Preston vs us. Fox did his utmost to get him sent off and it worked. That isn't to defend the fella rolling about on the floor... but it's football and you're stupid if you don't do it. Think one of the first things Mourinho said when he went in at Spurs was that he wants them all to be bigger cunts.

The Assistant Ref 'might' have made a genuine mistake, but the Barnsley player CHEATED...and appears to benefit twice. First Stooke go down to 10 men, then the cheat (appears to) gets off scot free... . Do we know who it was?
