Davies 9 Tymon 7 Collins 7 Souttar 8 Batth 7 Smith 7 Mikel 6 Clucas 5 Powell 8 Fletcher 8 Campbell 8 Brown 7 Thompson 6 Gregory 5 Ill go with this. Good in defence and looking good upfront. Central midfield looks non existent though at the moment. It's worryingly obvious. I just don't think Clucas and Mikel work together for some odd reason. Clucas/Allen - Yes Mikel/Thompson - Yes There were so many long balls today totally missing out the midfield. It has to be rectified by MON

Davies 8 - commanding Smith 7 - Steady Collins, Batth, Souttar 8 - solid back three performance, along with Davies men of the match Tymon 7 - big improvement on the Birmingham performance Powell 6 - gets battered but goes over far too easy and refs clearly have him marked as a diver Mikel 7 - quietly effective Clucas 6 - really not firing this season Fletcher 7 - good movement and well taken goal Campbell 7 - at last he's bringing others into the game, linked well with Fletcher
Brown 7 - busy and really should have shot but credit for being unselfish Thompson 7 - steady Gregory - not on long enough to rate
Defence is looking very solid but the midfield isn't firing on all cylinders and as a result we're not creating enough chances. O'Neill is clearly setting us up to be hard to beat which means you're always in with a chance. Once the midfield do start to click top six looks a realistic target for the season.

Game of 2 halves. Take 2 marks off everyone for the first half except Davies, add 1 for second half Davies 9 - He was Gordon Banks today Smith 6 - he went badly missing for one in the 1st half when they screwed up an opening. His effort in the second half was hilarious. Also his throws in are absolute shite, otherwise ok Tymon 7 - big improvement on last outing, covers a lot of miles...though he can push on from a fairly steady performance Baath 8 - he was pretty immense in the second half when they were trying to get back in the game Collins 7 - good to see him in the team, wobbly first half, his distribution was a bit erratic but good effort overall Souttar 7 - again a bit wobbly first half, wasn't his best so far but kept it fairly solid 2nd half...good progress here though Mikel 7 - too quiet first half but really helped to control things in 2nd kept possession well Clucas 6 - awful 1st half, improved and became more aggressive/confident going forward as the game went on. still not happening though. Powell 7 - good goal and instrumental in 2nd half successes, but couldn't get in the game in the first half Campbell 8 - the difference between the 2 sides for me, makes thing s happen when we feed him, and i think very difficult to defend against with his pace and movement. Fletcher 7 - good intelligent, physical centre forward performance, grew into the game, 1st half couldn't get in the game probably because the midfield were shit. Now lets see how Vokes and Gregory do in the next game?

Are we play off material?
Didn't see the game. Followed text comments, stats and a live green pitch plus ball-graphic picture, at a swedish site. (like an old video game from the 70ies).

I would say yes, potentially. Despite the fact we have under performed in most games, this is one of the strongest squads in the Division. I expect us to be around this position in the table most of the season but we have the potential to step it up if we get the chemistry right and these players play like they did in the second half consistently. Problem we have is if Campbell and/or Fletcher get injured then the answer is a definite No.

Not sure l agree. I'm pretty happy with Powell pushed up behind Fletch and with with Campbell out wide (wide-ish) for 70 -75% the time. Leaves Vokes and Gregory as squad players. You don't want too many players twiddling their thumbs out of contention.
