I have read some stupid comments on this site since I first joined the forum but negative comments about Mikel just take the biscuit. The mere presence of this superb football athlete on the training pitch, in the dressing room and on the pitch has made an enormous difference to our club. We all should be proud and pleased that a player of this stature and ability has chosen to sign for us. Well he didn’t have much choice did he ? No fucker else wanted him Didn't know his agent was on the oatcake!

('inspired' by US vice presidential debate, and today's Fleetwood match)- 'I saw Glenn Whelan, and John Obi-you're no Glenn Whelan'.

So far we’ve not won a home game he’s played in , I’m not saying he’s not a decent player but he’s part a system that’s proving a failure , to be first to him it didn’t work against blackpool either but right now I can’t see any evidence Of a difference he’s made , Indeed at home we’ve refreshed since he’s been in the team again it’s the system but some are going to have to be sacrificed to make us more of a threat at home So you have decided that Mikel is your focus for everything that has gone wrong so far? Have you noticed how busy Davies has been in games? How busy has our defence been? I see a team that has moved forward light years under MON. It is a team effort that has enabled us to become much harder to beat. In my eyes Mikel may have gone past his best period in his career but he has played a major role so far in our defensive improvement and he will only get better.

MO'N has given us a rock solid defence to build on which will get better as the young players become more experienced and established. I have every faith MO'N will sort out the attack, which is currently suffering from Powell and Clucas's lack of form, and we will become serious contenders for a play-off position. Less than 12 months ago we were in a tail spin heading towards the 3rd tier like Sunderland, Leeds, Blackburn, Wigan, Barnsley, Blackpool, Charlton, and other former Premier League clubs have done in the past.
