A baby! Congratulations lads! My 3 pretty much grown up now so I was feeling a bit redundant - hence The Beagle! Murphy is great and just what we (I) needed. Nearly half way through January. There is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there 👍🏻 Cheers. Beagles are great dogs. Some appetite on them! My mother in law has one and she eats anything. You genuinely cannot leave a chair left out at the dining table, else she is on, climbing all over the food and wolfing anything she can grab, before someone can grab her 😂. She’s lovely though and loves a fuss. I like how they do what THEY want as well. Until you get a treat from your pocket and they do anything you ask. It’s good that you have gone for it though mate. Dogs are great companions. You’ve got a friend for life their mate, no judgement, as long as you look after them, they will love you forever.

Bumping this back to the top.
I have no shame in admitting this has probably been one of the hardest weeks of not the hardest of lock down(s) so far.
Whilst I’m bumping this, I do feel that taking time away from the forum will be called for, on the main board I have noticed an increase volume of people sniping and not being able to have a balanced and reasonable debate.
Coupled with Bayern hi jacking every thread it’s exhausting.
Sorry I needed to vent.
Hope everyone is doing ok and holding in there.

In the summer it wasn’t so bad as you could chill in the garden with a beer and barbecue or whatever but now it feels prison like. I just keep thinking one day soon we will be out of this and if not summer is on it’s way. It really is a grim time of year at the best of times

People on furlough or out of work are frustrated in general. Add in the general Jan blues and you’ve got a horrible cocktails for mental health.

Yes mate I’m 10 months out of work now and just want a job, every day is Groundhog Day and it’s rate getting on me tits. But you just have to keep plugging away and hope it gets better soon. Despite the arguments, this message board has been a bit of a saviour for me but if you think you fancy a break then you can always kick back in when the need arises. It will get better! At some point😀

It’s abit of a double edge sword tbh, it’s a nice distraction but seeing the same people arguing about the same things on multiple threads I end up just not bothering. It gets tiresome 😂.

I honestly think reading or posting on that side of the board is seriously bad for anyones mental heath at the moment, you can't say shit without some (pardon the pun) nut job dicecting every word you say dragging you down into their cesspit of doom and negativity! Keep well away mate, and taking a break from social media will do you the world of good... I know from my own personnel experience I feel so much better spending less time on here Facebook and twatter etc it will do you the world of good as this time of year is tough enough without all of that.

If you find yourself taking ANYTHING personal on the internet, then its time to take a break from it. Accept that places like this are a handy tool to pass the time, but naturally have some toxic/damaged/angry people you wouldn't go near in real life. If you'd avoid them in the pub, don't get dragged into responding to them on here.

Today I went for a walk through the fields in Adderley Green, all the way down the path to Meir Hay, back round the long way on to the path back to Adderley Green again.
I can’t tell you how nice it was to get out, even in the snow. It felt like the release I needed. Was out for a good hour and half or so, just going at a steady pace.
Now chilling out watching the footie. Night sorted.
Let’s hope the vaccination rates continue, and let’s hope we soon hit an end to these restrictions.
Stay safe.

I went for a walk this afternoon. As I do regular. Clears the head.
I sat down at Lunch time and thought. I'm missing a gym session. I'm missing a pint in the pub and I'm missing a decent hair cut at Barbers.
Lockdown has got to me last few weeks. Dosn't help that I dislike winter. So it's not helping. I soon perk myself up though.

I’m tackling this shit by just doing something, highly recommend getting a cook book and start cheffing. I like cooking anyway but the time just flies fly’s when you’re cooking and you get to enjoy the fruits of you labour at the end. Even started baking cakes and biscuits! My mates will disown me😀

Same here was fine until just before Christmas, picked up a knee injury which has stopped me walking for the past six weeks with no sign of improvement, can't even get a diagnosis due to these shit Covid restrictions, it's driving me up the wall stuck in the house in pain.

Good on the Cheffing Badger. Come out of this with a real skill in kitchen you will. Little things annoyed me lol. I looked in mirror and was like my hair is a mess I need the barbers. Had a few beers on a zoom chat last night. It's just not the same as a proper pint in the pub though. I joined a facebook group called Springwatch fans a bit ago. People posting all sorts of pictures they had taken. Foxes Hawks stoats one guy today Long eared owl. Wildlife Camera work one of my hobbies. I appreciate all wildlife but all I saw today was Robins Mallards Crows Pigeons and I'm like why do I never see anything rare 😂 I'll cope better when it gets lighter at night and warmer. Hope the injury sorts itself quick.

I have a skipping rope, a couple of light weights, a speed ladder, a bottle of water and a handwritten plan for each of the sets. It takes about an hour and its a decent all round workout. You look a bit crackers to anyone walking past of course but it is helping to keep me half sane!

Attempted to cook some Ginger biscuits yesterday (how hard can it be). It was a disaster so back to the drawing board with that one. Think my scales must be out of sync 😏

Not sure if it’s mental health or not but Is anyone else finding they’re struggling with memory at the moment? I’m not sure if it’s the constant of having Covid always on my mind but I find that my trail of thoughts all over the place and my concentration is gone. I’ll go in the kitchen to get a coke and come out with an apple. That sort of thing.

That's a good idea, I miss the gym and squash, both, quite a lot I’ve been doing morning and lunchtime walks for a good while now listening to audiobooks to make regular walks that bit more interesting. Just started doing HIIT workouts on YouTube for half an hour or so when I log off my work computer at 5. Really enjoying it. Doing some exercise is so good for you. Thoroughly recommend it!
