www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54253189I know this goal was covered in the FA Cup but seeing a pic of Ric in the red and white stripes on the main BBC Sports page brought a huge smile to my face.

Really chuffed for Hanley, but what a testament to Ric's character and hunger for the game that he's still plying his skill and experience at grass roots level for the local area. Even at his age, someone of his calibre playing for Hanley is like us getting Ronaldo. Haven't seen who Hanley Duck have in the 2nd quali round, but hope they progress further.

Draw hasn't been made yet, but wouldn't it be great if the Hanley game was chosen for BBC coverage. Fingers crossed!!! I'm not sure Ric will be a regular tbh. That level is pretty decent and Ric will do well to keep up at the age of 40. I think they will use him as an impact sub, that's my guess.

I love Ric, but he’s talking absolute shit when he says we should’ve won the cup final and had the better early chances! Kenwyne scuffed our one decent chance in the 2nd half, other than that Sorensen kept us in the tie with a handful of great saves.

Has there ever been a greater super sub in the history of football? Some games you weren't bothered if he didn't start as you knew by him coming off the bench would almost always be a game changing.

Remember when Pulis was saying publicly that Ric wanted to go to Sunderland for more money and he made some crazy comment about Ric being interested in owning nightclubs back home when he finished playing? Ric playing at 40 for Hanley Town, still living in the area and still loving our club makes something of a mockery of that claim doesn't it?

Hanley play Eccleshall a 2 weeks on Saturday at Pershall Park. Hopefully spectators are allowed in as I’m really looking forward to seeing Ric play again.

They also play Barnoldswick Town and Padiham, both of which are 5 minutes from where I live. Hopefully he'll be involved and we'll get to go watch him.

Interesting Bar lick Town not too far from me, would be worth crossing the border to see the great man in action Was hoping they may get Silsden in the cup but Sils are out ☹️

They would've been absolutely out of sight if it wasn't for Sorensen in the first 30 minutes. Huth, Etherington and Ric fully fit would probably have made that game so much more interesting on so many levels. I love his comment that he hasn't missed a training session! But what time did he turn up to them

Ricardo Fuller City's No. 10. re the Cup Final, yes Tommy was kept busy first half, but they kicked lumps out of Pennant and Ethers, 0-0 at half time and if you watch your dvds' back we were the better side second half. Still a painful watch though. www.fa-cupfinals.co.uk/2011.html

I met Ric a couple of years ago with my Wife and she took a photograph of me with him. As she was taking a photo of the pair of us I told him that I had been married to her for over 20-years. I asked him who he thought I loved the most, him or her, and he wouldn't answer the question, he laughed his nuts off! Top man RF10

I still think Man City's goal in the cup final should have been ruled out for offside, as a City player in an offside position blocked our keeper's view to the shot coming in.

That goal vs Villa in first home game was just top draw and if it had been one of the chosen few who’d scored it would still be jizzed over now by jug ears and sheep Shearer on motd.

No excuses needed for this! Loved this away day Lennie steaming in with his arm in the air, like Ric was ever going to square it after having done all the hard work.
