We can get away with getting rid of one if someone is daft enough to take one of them?

I'll take them pair up top together in the Cup if it means the proper two play in the League. I'm absolutely convinced they'll form a good partnership at this level.
I'd love us to get rig of Sam Vokes but we've absolutely no chance have we.

If Fletcher and Brown are our Morecambe and Wise
Vokes and Gregory are our Mike and Bernie Winters

I'd love us to get rig of Sam Vokes but we've absolutely no chance have we. Absolutely none. In terms of hampering our progress this Vokes business is right up there with the worst we’ve done. It would be impossible to unload him to anyone on any realistic terms. Gregory at least has interest in him and a doable deal is probably achievable. Who on earth are we going to sell Vokes to that doesn’t wreck the P and L and who would be mental enough to match his contract?

The future success of this team does not involve Vokes though, even in a support role. Fletcher broke his personal best in exposing Vokes as being useless yesterday, it was literally 15 seconds of him being on that he had more impact.

Nothing wrong with Vokes.
He takes a battering off the opposition and consequently makes life easier for our other forward looking players.

MON watches the players and picks the team and tactics. He hasn't done badly so far so if that's what he chooses then fine by me. Campbell had a stinker last Saturday, so bad that if we took off our Stoke youth (half) product glasses I'm sure many would be saying never again.

There's been some performances in our recent past that would most definitely make you say that, Kenwyn Jones stands out a mile for me but no one last Saturday got anywhere near it. Think its best you put aside your glasses for a while.

MON knows by now that the punters will have his knackers, if he persists with including Vokes, Ince, Gregory and Butland in the squad of 25. The game is up on them and they very well know it too. If they were smart they would ask to go immediately before they end up in League 2/3. With Verlinden and Allen due to return, there is no place for this foursome at Stoke any more.

If we got rid of all the players some want to, we would have the bare bones of a squad left. it's a minimum 50 game season condensed into a shorter time frame than usual. If we play 2 up top, then we need at the very least 4 to choose from. Fletcher, Campbell and Brown would be my first choices, then vokes. Personally this season I would rather have all 5. We don't have any youngsters coming through and Brown is an unknown quantity up front, having often played as a winger. Fletcher looks a very good player, but is susceptible to injuries and is not getting any younger. I agree that together they are far from an ideal pairing. One of them paired with a quicker player though can do a job as backup.

I’d keep Vokes as a back up to Fletcher as none of our forwards can really do the target man role.
I think Gregory is now probably surplus fo requirements but if it came down to him and Ince I’d keep Gregory in a heartbeat.

Think its best you put aside your glasses for a while. So you think 5 touches all match are what you expect from a striker? I'm not advocating him being dropped as I want him to do well and think he needs a run in the team. But I do think sometimes fans see what they want to see rather than what the manager sees. Tyrese has to learn to get himself involved more especially outside the box. I think last Saturday was the worst I've seen him play and with Brown breathing down his neck was ill timed. I also think that had that been Gregory we'd have been far more critical.

Hope thats OK with you? I fucking hate this agenda bollocks. It’s just the basis of a shit baseless argument. I wish people would just do away with the notion because who actually has an agenda against a player? There’s players you like and there’s players you don’t like. That’s football, that’s life. But an agenda? Bollocks. It’s an easy get out clause for people who don’t want to form a good argument to be a nuisance.
