Baath and Chester showing exactly what we saw from them many times last season. Can't handle the pace and physicality, can't play the ball out. The other night Souttar and Collins put in performances two levels about them. We've paid the price for not playing pur best centre backs Agreed, time to give those 2 young lads an extended opportunity to play & afford them a little of the leeway Baath & Chester have had to keep there shirts. The fact that its painfully obvious that Chester is probably our 6th best CB really crystallizes what a poor decision it was to give him a deal. Id actually say he's worse than lindsay. Hes absolute shite.

Today’s centre half performances were more in keeping with the majority of their last season performances. The final 5 or 6 games that Batth and Chester played were the exception to their season’s rule. One of the two ( I’d suggest Chester) needs to become back up to either of the younger lads.

Must be rubbing his hands after Bruno’s performance today (Colins must be too after bobo and batths)

Must be rubbing his hands after Bruno’s performance today (Colins must be too after bobo and batths) Indi was easily the best centre half of the 3 today.

Indi was easily the best centre half of the 3 today. And unfortunately that's not saying an awful lot It is pretty well spot on. I have to admit that I don't rate Indi as a great cb these days - but he was clearly better than his two companions today. If we play 3 at the neck next game (and I am not convinced we should) I'd go with Collins, Souttar and Indi - assuming Shawcross is not yet match fit.

Baath & Chester scare me, when we try and play out they just look so uncomfortable. The performance of the back 3 today was light years behind the one on Thursday.

He must be wondering what he has to do to get into the team, the manager comes out and says they need to prove something, they do and show exactly why they should be in the team and then they get dropped straight away, its a bit of a slap in the face.
Same applies to Collins and a couple of the others from Thursday.

Must be rubbing his hands after Bruno’s performance today (Colins must be too after bobo and batths) Indi was easily the best centre half of the 3 today. If he was the best then, fuck me! Batth and Chester should’ve dealt with the ball into the box for the first goal, but I’ve never seen a defender have there man peel off of them as slowly as Wells did to Indi. May be my eyes deceiving me but wasn’t it Bruno’s 50p bonce header for the second goal? I’ve only seen the highlights admittedly, but from all those 2 minutes, all 3 were shite and Bruno was at fault for both, with the other two clowns at fault for one. For me 4231 with Souttar and Collins as the centre halfs

Whilst we seem to have improved massively in the last 12 months we will achieve nothing with Baath and Chester playing week in week out. After Wolves we must start seeing either Souttar or Collins starting as permanent fixture.

Same applies to Collins and a couple of the others from Thursday. By all accounts pre season he's been excellent, then he gets a chance against a premier league team and grabs it with both hands, only to see two garbage centre backs picked ahead of him. It's embarrassing watching batth and chester at times and if you are the opposition looking at their names in a back three you know what to do. Shite

At the minute we have players that should know better making the same mistakes. Weirdly that seems palatable to most on here and indeed in the English footballing sphere. Really odd.

He played 34 times in League 1 last season, apparently very well and was young player of the month in February. His recent performances have shown he is ready to step up to the next level and the manager should now play him regularly and we should accept that he will make the occasional mistake, but no more than anyone else. He is not a young Shawcross, but we will not get a player that good at this moment in time.
