Shit the bed. 4 Nil and 4 for Kyeramateng. Always seems to score goals yet the rumour is we were trying to offload in pre-season. What’s stopping him from knocking on the first team squad door? O'Neill but I am not supposed to say that.

Team was posted on Twitter and Facebook, did you want them to drive it round to your house? 😂
I looked on the club website, where the coverage was announced, and on youtube where the match was shown and the team was listed. If they can put the numbers on twitter and facebook, why not on youtube?

They didn’t put the numbers on Twitter.

Thanks, struck me as bizarre if they had tbh. I'm not going mad
As I said, good that the club put this up and the team list. 9.9/10. would have been 10 if the numbers/subs were up there

Even when the kids win, Bayern is a miserable bastard.
Perhaps football isn't for you.

Yeah it definitely would have helped. I think ideally they need commentary and replays and it shouldn’t be too hard to do but do realise that it took 5 years to get the u23 games streamed 🤦♂️ The picture quality was excellent though.

Glad of the youtube stream to show how U23 is a million miles away from 1st team football. Positives - Shawx got minutes into his legs though only once had to canter the rest was walking pace. Blonde looked comfortable in goal and great penalty save.
The play had little structure as a young Leeds side passed us off the park in midfield but hopeless at a clinical pass with Shawx managing a young defence in the first half. Second half Stoke play was better in midfield and Gabriel was clinical. I wonder how many he would have scored if Leeds had a decent C/H in their side. Taylor played a couple of great passes and movement on first viewing with new teammates.

Wasn’t really played to his strengths if he is number 10 though.

Always seems to score goals yet the rumour is we were trying to offload in pre-season. What’s stopping him from knocking on the first team squad door? He’s not that good. Having watched his goals I would have to agree. His 1st was fair enough well taken and the pen was decent enough but both the one on one goals I thought were awful. The 1st he smashed through the keeper and he got lucky and the second one he also smashed it past the keeper. It's nice they went in but you would hope to see a bit more quality in the finishing, there was no effort to place the ball past the keeper it was just a smash. Decent strikers go for the corners or a chip or go round the keeper or generally pass it into the net. I didn't see much control and it was more hit and hope.

I know we won. But there was only one side trying to play football. I find it strange that other clubs can employ coaches, especially at lower levels, who install some pattern of play in their teams, whereas we always look a disjointed rabble relying on mistakes of the other side. The goals last night all seem to be the result of Leeds colamitous defending rather than our good play.

The other side of the coin is that the Leeds' coaches can't be that good given their team's atrocious defending last night. They didn't seem to have much idea about attacking in the final third either. What they did have was an excellent looking central midfield and at least one good winger.

You'd have thought they would put at least one of the first team squad in the side if they needed to. Premier League sides have 8 fewer league games so keeping the senior squad match fit is tricky and it would help that if they made the occasional U23 appearance. I don't see how it helps the youngsters to play in a side with no CBs on the pitch - as last night confirmed.

I’d have been more happy last night if I was the Leeds coach than the Stoke one though tbh. We got better in the second half but it really was nothing to shout about. Thought Porter played well and the defence bar Corrigan were sound. But other than that it was poor fayre.

They did but that style of finishing will only get you so far. I just like to see strikers make the effort to give the keeper next to no chance of saving their shots as even if they miss they will be better for it. When people just smash the ball on goal it just looks like the player is nervous and a bit unsure what to do in that situation.

I don't agree with that, your technique is very important as it will reduce the number of chances you need to score. You may as well say it doesn't matter how bad the pass was as long as it reached the person you were passing to, it may have killed the attack but it went to the person it was supposed to so it's good.

Some absolute donkeys have been great goalscorers Law, Lineker, Gerd Muller not the most technically gifted of footballers but they all had what teams pay the big bucks for, GOALS it doesn’t matter if it comes off your big toe, shin or arse it’s all about being in the right place at the right time and getting the ball over that white line.
