Some good games over the weekend. Great to see the Browns win a playoff game after so many years under such difficult circs. Would love to see them or the Bills win it. Always nice to see a new winner.

Some good games over the weekend. Great to see the Browns win a playoff game after so many years under such difficult circs. Would love to see them or the Bills win it. Always nice to see a new winner. You say "a new winner". One of the gripes I have about football these days, you would think there never was any football before the formation of the Premier League according to much of the media. American Football is similar, everything before the Superbowl counts for nothing. The Browns used to be one one the great teams before the Superbowl started and regularly won their division. The Superbowl saw their demise. At least with AF it's organised so that the honours are shared around, unlike the PL where 6 clubs dominate and usually keep all the prizes to themselves. Leicester have bucked the trend and wouldn't mind if they did it again.

Yep so true. Only real difference I can see are the Salary Caps in AF. It's prevented the top clubs from buying the league every year. And the clubs who haven't made it can only blame their own decisions in management/coaching/personnel. (Although I still think the Dallas Cowboys get all the calls...but I digress) I don't know what happened to the Browns but you're right - the arrival of the Superbowl seems to have contributed to their demise. They had Jim Brown and Otto Graham playing for them ffs!
Not sure this can work for the PL though - football is such an international sport. Unless all the big leagues pass a cap, then all the higher-paid players would just run off overseas. (Of course some would say that could be a good thing!) (And now we have the big clubs threatening a "super-league"...but I digress again)
Stoke owns my heart. But I also loved to see the Leicester story and hated to see that tragedy befall their owner. You're on the top of the world, then a few months later in the pits of sadness. What an emotional roller-coaster!
I'm a Raiders fan, so I'm rooting for the Browns this year. Plus Baker Mayfield played at Oklahoma, the state I live in. I want to see how far they go. But I will repeat what I said weeks ago. Right now the only team that can beat the Chiefs are the Chiefs themselves. We'll see how it goes.

One of (the only?) perk of lockdown on my own is that I was able to record all the games on Saturday and Sunday, and, avoiding this thread, watch them all at my leisure over the last few days. The Browns / Steelers games was certainly a stunner. The wheels really do seem to have fallen off the Steelers over the last month. I fancy the Browns to give the Chiefs a decent game, but, I just don't see them having the strength in depth or their defence being strong enough to prevent the Chiefs winning comfortably in the end. It looks like the Test match won't last beyond Saturday, so I will be able to do the same again for this weekends games.

Chiefs, since week 9, have won by an average of less than 4 points per game. Importantly, they are winning, but you have to be a little worried about not putting teams away.

I'm a Chiefs fan and although they have been winning they've just about scraped home in quite a few games this season. The Browns were impressive against the Steelers but the wheels seemed to have come off the Steelers a few weeks ago. I'm going for the Chiefs to win against the Browns.
My predictions
Chiefs Ravens Packers Saints

Packers and Bills through fairly comfortably.
I'm hoping for a good Chiefs win today against the Browns, then it's the Saints - Buccs to finish off.

Browns were unlucky, Mayfield played a decent game. Such fine margins what should of been a TD just before half time fumbled on the goaline with what should of been called an illegal challenge and the ball rolls out the end zone forces of possession was massive against them. Brave calls for the Chiefs to run the clock out without Mahomes, the Bills got to fancy their chances if he doesn't play next week.

Bucs v Green Bay
Bills v Chiefs
Green Bay and the Bills to go through for me

I obviously hope the Chiefs go through (and win the SB) but I think the Bills will beat them even if Mahomes is fit to play. If Mahomes doesn't play and Henne starts I think the Bills will win easily. In the other game Rodgers v Brady is set up nicely isn't it. Green Bay should be good enough, at home, but I think the Buccs with Brady are no pushovers.
I'll go Bills and Packers as well.

Even if Mahomes passes the concussion protocols and is declared fit, there must still be some concerns about the leg/foot injury he suffered just before the concussion. It didn't look like an injury that will totally disappear in a week. If his mobility or his throwing base is slightly restricted then you would think it might tilt the scales a bit towards The Bills. The Bills seem to be peaking at just the right time and must really fancy their chances of beating The Chiefs, whether or not the QB is Mahomes or Henne. Having said that I hope Mahones is 100% so that the 2 Championship games can have the QB match ups that they deserve. I am expecting a Bills v Packers Superbowl, which probably means it will be Chiefs v Buccs. Can't wait for Sunday (or more accurately, my Monday /Tuesday afternoons in a nice comfy chair watching the recordings). Whatever we are going to end up with a Superbowl between one of the all time great QBs and a Q who will probably become one of the all time greats.

Had a tenner on the Bucs and Bills.
Cold weather won't affect Brady and Gronk in Green Bay, Bills pushed the Chiefs all the way in the regular season.
