Regarding the Baseball Infield Fly Rule: When there's less than 2 outs and when first and second, or first, second, and third bases are occupied and a pop fly is hit (In FAIR territory) that an infielder can catch with ordinary effort according to the umpire's judgement, (Can't be halfway out in the outfield) - it's an automatic out. (It's basically a penalty for hitting a pop-out with runners on and less than 2 outs) Minnesota Twins not winning in the post-season: It's a recent-years "curse" similar to the one the Cubs used to have where they could GET to the World Series but never win it. This year was particularly odd because one could argue that the Minnesota Twins were the best team in baseball in the regular season. They are a good team and I wouldn't be surprised if they "break the curse" soon. Yes Cobham, the Padres are still in - they eliminated my Cardinals. Does that mean the fielder doesn't even have to catch the ball?! And what is a pop fly?

Pop fly is a ball hit nearly straight up (As opposed to a long fly that goes out into the outfield) And no, the batter is out once the "pop up" is hit regardless of whether or not a fielder actually catches it.

Well, DC, Allen did it again for you. Putting him in your fantasy team seems inspired given his fairly modest stats the previous 2 seasons. Always thought he was a decent QB being let down by his offensive line. This season he seems to have so much time he can pick secondaries apart whether they're in man-to-man or zone.
So you've effectively not just got Allen in your fantasy team, you've got a much-improved Bills OL without having to select them or pay for them. Now that's smart. Wasn't just Allen & the OL, though - the whole Bills team did very well, I thought. Definitely worth more than a 7 point victory.
Pats @ Chiefs tonight. (And I thought it was on last night so inadvertantly recorded the Bills - LV game, grrrr !) Think the whole game will rest on Mahomes & whether the Pats' pass rush can get to him quickly enough to hurry him into interceptions. Expect another high-scoring game (with both defences getting a lot of yards/points). Chiefs to win by less than 7 points for me, sadly.
So whilst the Bills steamroller trundles along, Pats are looking vulnerable. Which will all change when the Pats do the double over the Bills (as usual ) The Pats are going to need to beat the Bills both times just to get on terms after another crushing defeat Really looking forward to Sunday's game as it's the big clash between my two teams of this season, my star fantasy QB Josh Allen's 4-from-4 Bills take on my star fantasy RB Derrick Henry's 3-from-3 Titans. Should be a belting game.

Do I take a gamble on Mike Evans tonight for the Bucs? Looking at your team I'd take the risk, your entire bench is filled with people who're more often than not going to get you five to ten points. IF Evans does play (With Godwin being out) he'll get a shit load of targets & 'could' end up with a twenty-five plus game.

Projected points showing a close game against Montana, could go either way by the looks of it. Potters look like they're in for another thrashing this week - that autopick draft has got a lot to answer for ! I'm getting to the stage where I've justabout given up for this season.

RB Chubb. RB A.Jones. WR Thomas. WR Hopkins. WR Cooper. TE Henry. I realise Chubb got injured last week & Jones is on a bye this week but that's a bloody good team. Which of those players are you unhappy with? I'll take them off your hands

Watson/Texans having a mare at 0-4, Thomas has been injured since early in game 1, Jones on bye, Chubb injured, RB's this week McKinnon and Gaskin (!) etc. Games haven't fallen Potters way either, last couple of weeks the scores have been about 4th highest and would have won 3 of the matchups but currently sitting bottom at 1-3 and looking like another defeat against Bengals this week ! In my 4 other leagues I'm top in 2, 2nd in one, and 4 in the other. Hopefully luck will change soon.

Well, Bills/Titans has been moved to Tuesday night at stupid o'clock, and the Broncos/Pats game has been called off (Both given a bye) with the hopes of playing it next week. (Which will then mean Miami will have a bye as they should have played the Broncos).

I was of course having fun with my Minnesota Twins post season efforts of late, although them not facing the Yankees this time had me more optimistic this year. Thankfully, Jack Morris's gem from the '91 WS still keeps me (partially) sane--still one of, if not the best WS game in history (I'm biased obviously).

Browns are 2 and 1. First time winning season in 6 years!!! Can we keep it up? Woof, woof. Browns need to give up on Mayfield for me. He just isn't going to be what they hope he will. They've got so much talent in that squad (Chubb, Hunt, Landry, OBJ, Hooper etc...) But Mayfield is a bust. People like Derek Carr & Teddy Bridgewater (Bog standard QBS) are way above him, and they haven't got half the talent in their teams. Give Case Keenum the job for this season, yeah he's bang average but he's much cheaper than Mayfield! Get him off the wage bill somehow & try & find a new long term QB. Browns first winning season since 2007. I have always linked them with the Cleveland Stokers. Today, Mayfield threw for a season-high 334 yards yards on 25 of 33 completions with four touchdowns. Just like Stoke though they sat on their lead and nearly lost it.

With the Chargers out of it and the Cardinals blowing out don’t want to give them the kiss of death though. The Chargers remind me of us under Jones.

Well done him that after 3 seasons in the job he's finally thrown for 334 yards. I compared him to Derek Carr in my earlier post, yesterday Carr threw for 381 yards in a team with far less talent than the Browns have got. Mayfield was supposed to be an elite level QB, up there with other young stars like Josh Allen (This season has thrown over 300 yards 3 times, and over 400 yards twice) and Patrick Mahomes (Over 300 yards SIX times & over 400 yards twice). He's miles away from those guys.

Pats 20-1 to win the superbowl? I've had a slice of that, thank you very much. You've got to figure the AFC will be between Pats, Chiefs & Ravens. 20-1 was far too big a price to resist even without Brady. The Pats wont even win their division. That's a brave thing to predict, DC. You'd back against a team that's won their division 11 years straight? The Bills will win the division

The NFC East divsion is a shocker. Dont think anyone wants to win it. The giants seems to be on a roll in that division winning 4 on the spin but are top on 5-7.
My team the dolphins are having their best season in years. Could sneak a wildcard or even win if we can take the bills out the last game of the season.

The 2008 the pats went 11-5 with Matt Cassel the back up QB for almost the whole season if I remember right. Normally enough wins to win at the very least a play off spot.

Another great evening of red zone. With the Chargers out I’d love to see the Cardinals and Murray in the playoffs. They’re a real enigma that can beat anyone on their day. Nice to see the Bills and Browns doing well too. Would be good to see a new name on the Super Bowl. Can’t help thinking it’s going to be a Chiefs v Packers super bowl though. Can’t see anyone stopping Patrick Mahomes who is without doubt the most talented QB ever. They’re a lot more likeable than the Pats too.
