Always Mrs Peel to me in the Avengers, a wonderfully created and unique character that is of the 60s and transcended that era also. In my opinion the best James Bond lead female ever by a mile.😢 RIP

Loved her as Mrs Peel.
She's played a huge variety of roles throughout her career, with a part in Detectorists a couple of years ago, and what must have surely been her final role as Mrs Pumphrey in the recent remake of All Creatures Great And Small currently being shown on Channel 5.
RIP

I know her predominantly as Olenna Tyrell in GOT and she particularly stood out in an ensemble cast full of great performances.

Fabulous actress and a role model for catsuits and of course Guy Garvie's mother in law.

^ Yup. "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" gets a bad rap, one the best Bond films as far as I'm concerned. Sorry to hear, always liked her.

Sad loss. Condolences to all her loved ones.
The Avengers was compulsive viewing every Saturday night. Honor Blackman was great, but Diana took the role to another level.
A university friend of mine in the 60s was beaming from ear to ear one Monday when I met him. I asked what he was so pleased about. He was from Stratford and a keen actor and had been at the Shakespear theatre that weekend and literally bumped into Diana turning a corner. He was hugely embarrassed but loved the experience!
A light has just gone on reading the above posts. My wife and I were watching All Creatures ......... this week and we said the old lady with the Pekanese was familiar but we couldn't place her.
RIP Diana

A classic English beauty, and definitely the best Avengers girl. She brought style, sassiness, elegance and humour to her role as Emma Peel.
Playing the only woman to become Mrs Bond isn't a bad achievement either!
