A bona fide classic, I reckon it's stood the test of time much better than Harry Enfield- or even Little Britain, which came after it

Peep Show's quality, as are The Boosh, Vic & Bob and pretty much anything Matt Berry and Shearsmith/Pemberton put their hands to. Regarding sketch comedy, I'd put Fast Show up there with Python, Smell of Reeves & Mortimer and Big Train.

"You aint seen me, roight" Not sure if anyone caught The Fast Show specials on Gold the other week, but Mark Williams has put some timber on.

I loved the Fast Show (still do tbh), some of its not aged well and a bit grey, other bits are still funny as fuck
Same as Monty Python etc I guess, hit and miss genius

Just binged all three series plus the specials. Hasn't aged at all, still as funny now as it was 25 years ago. Unlucky Alf and Jazz club still my favourite sketches. "Great" 👌

I always had a thing for Arabella Weir. Definitely one for the 'Women You Find Strangely Attractive' thread.

By far the best sketch show I've ever watched. Relived quite a lot of it on UK gold during lockdown was in tears laughing at some sketches brilliant writing and characters. Johnny the Painter is brilliant Colin Hunt Jazz Club Monkfish Billy Bleach hold the bells The hiker and stuck down a hole in the middle of the night with an owl sketch creases me up everytime I watch it.
Simon Day and Mark Williams are really underrated

This has to be the thread to ask this. I think it was a Fast show sketch?
Upper class twit talks about saving Northerners and introduces us to his ”Yorkie” Saw it once years ago and really want to show it to the wife but can’t find it at present?

Watched a bit of that recently and it was much more idiosyncratic and original than I remembered. Really stands up.

Some of the linking between schetches they used was similar to Monty Python

Peep show is very good also Watched a Peep show on amazon prime couple of afternoons ago. Findus Crispy Pancakes were referenced which made me smile as they had been spoken of on here a few times as a thing people really miss.

Giant Foods has an “English” International section but what washes up in there is.....interesting.
