Well my mother 88 and 2 people from work one being 50 the other 23 all died of this disease. So for me the Red or White Options is a great idea everyone has an option and a chance to see some games in relative safety.
A great call from the club and one I like. Incidentally the 50 year old who died was in hospital unconscious for 2 months and his body slowly shut down, first his kidneys then his liver then his lungs and he had 2 bleeds on the brain. I was talking to him at midday on the phone and he said he was fine no issues, by 3pm he was in hospital unable to breath.
So as mentioned a great move by the club still dont know whether to go for red or white as yet.

The rules of the scheme published by the club already limit groups of fans buying tickets to 6 people from 2 households - so presumably, the new government rules will not be breached.

I think the attendance limits for sports events will put paid to the best intent of the club. There is no way the red or white ticket totals expected will be allowed in the short term. The start date of the scheme will be delayed. They need to get the streaming package on sale asap for existing 2019/20 ST holders asap.

Reporting on the radio this morning that the government are rethinking letting fans back in to stadiums from October first. Don’t know how that will affect purchasing these tickets

none because i arnt been treated like a kid down the ground buy people telling me what to do and where to stand because we all know thats what will happen prob have to put your hand up to go toilet Good choice. I hope every other grown adult who thinks they are unable to follow some simple rules to keep us all safe during a global pandemic decide to stay at home too.

Looking at the message from Stoke, it would appear that unless you buy either a Red or a White package, you will get a full refund and have to buy each home game at £10 a game. I will probably go for the White, because one of my "bubble" is on holiday for the Birmingham game. However, as both the others potentially in my "bubble" are in their 80s and have either recently had or due to have a knee replacement, a lot will depend on which seats are available. At the moment there are handrails and brick walls all the way to our seats but if there are no seats available with similar access then I guess they will be giving this season a miss as well. So by being a regular season ticket holder for decades and being old and decrepit, I am going to be penalised £100s to stream our games. That can’t be right. There are going to be plenty of loyal ST holders who cannot take advantage of the current seasons ST arrangements for one reason or another who will be in the same boat, however I am not sure that they will feel 'penalised' or unfairly treated. The consequences of COVID19 are hardly the club's fault. The £10 per game stream or the additional ST option to buy a £50 streaming package (only for 11 home games and midweek away matches) were not set by them. The choice is entirely yours which option (if any) you can accommodate.

I’m not confident this will go ahead now Tbh I could see the entire season just being a stream it job, as long as we get to keep our seats for 21/22 I understand there’s not much the club can do, other than give us our money back and go from there

When are they going on sale? Don't want to be doom and gloom - but can't see it being any time soon. Must be massive doubts there'll be any fans in stadiums in October now, so got to think it's on pause until they get some clarity on what's happening.

It will be interesting to see what the club's Plan B is on this one. I'd hate to be the decision makers on this one.
They are in an absolutely awful position, and potentially very messy with an 11 game season ticket scheme, potential for cancellations, more refunds and a compensatory streaming scheme.
Absolute nightmare.

Absolute nightmare. I'm hoping that the clubs apply pressure to Sky/FL to allow the clubs to sell a season streaming ticket - say £115 for home games only or £230 for all games. I know clubs are really short of cash - probably why the £10 has been set by FL but I think £10 is too much and will be counterproductive. I say charge £230 for the season. £115 goes to the home club and £5 to each of the other 23 clubs for the away games.

So a bit late to the party, I take it this has all been suspended (faster than it came in as a scheme)? With no details on how we get hold of streams etc then? Is that it in a nutshell?

If this gets the go ahead, and we can choose either red or white, what happens in the event of us finishing in the playoffs? Who gets to attend the semi final home leg? First come first serve? Or whichever colour card didnt attend the last home game?
And i would like to think that both red and white card holders could attend the final at wembley should we get there, with the capacity being 3 times bigger than our ground, all should get a seat and have a decent distance between the next.

Got my ST full refund yesterday. No email or notification, but there it was in my credit card statement. But I think I will give this season a miss. Red or white, it’s going to be messy and interrupted and potentially infectious. And the atmosphere at the games will be a bit shite, with half a crowd, like watching Vale games. I strongly suspect that as this second spike gathers momentum, the lockdown rules will get more and more restrictive. Expect fans at stadia to be cancelled.

It's going to be messy and I'd be very surprised if this red and white system lasts more than a few weeks, if it ever gets started at all. And as you say, even if it does get started the experience is heavily compromised by all the restrictions. I think I'm going to sit it out for now and hopefully rejoin in 2021/22 with something approaching normality. Although I'm beginning to even doubt that now.

One of the few advantages of the club being in a bit of a trough at the moment it that it's not quite so gutting to be forced to miss attending the games as it would have been if we'd been doing well.
Imagine if last season had been our promotion season after 23 years outside the top flight and we missed being able to celebrate promotion on the pitch? Or if we were having a spell like Wolves are having now with a great team, great football and a long Europa League run etc. Possibly as good as it'll get for their club and their fans are having to miss out on it. It certainly doesn't feel like that with Stoke.

I think you’ll find a lot of people will think like that. Not me, I will be signing up as soon as I can. Me too, but I still think a lot of people will do the same as Sam due to a fear of CoVid and the hassle involved to watch a game. Also, think when some people break the habit of going they do other things. That said, like you, I’m can’t wait to go back and watch some games.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/54158891However, a decision is unlikely to be reached this week on the planned return of spectators to sport from 1 October. Meanwhile, a report in the Times on Tuesday claims attendances could be restricted to between 1,000 and 2,500 from 1 October, depending on the coronavirus infection rate.
