Exactly what I'm seeing over here in the US. Ignorant/Misinformed people running around not following the rules causing one spike after another, then they have the audacity to gripe when restrictions are placed.

A few fans in the ground can’t disguise the fact you are a pub team full of thugs like Wycombe Weapon 🤣

I haven’t seen a single professional player or manager bothered about it being unfair. They’re all just keen to see fans back in stadia (publicly - privately I suspect there’s a fair few who prefer the empty grounds). They say the right things when they have to, of course, but they know fans in the ground have F all effect on the games really. The whole issue is an exercise in supporter vanity 😉 I wonder about this too. They won't say it publicly because it would be insulting to fans. But I definitely think there are players who prefer having no fans. Preferring to not face away fans is obvious, but I think some players secretly like home games without fans. Home fans, even when they are supportive, can be distracting and put an unpleasant amount of pressure on players.

Ronnie O'Sullivan said something recently about preferring the tournaments without fans because the pressure was off and he could just get on with the job without being hassled all the time for autographs or whatever. There's got to be a load of footballers that feel the same.

As an example of how one club is approaching the return ..Everton ..Liverpool city region is in Tier 2
Everton will have 2000 at their home game v Chelsea on the 12th December
But there’s a number of hoops to jump through , some of them concerning
2000 tickets 91% via ballot of season ticket holders ... 9% to hospitality season ticket holders and players family , in support of city wide testing , to gain entrance you need to have a negative COVID test upto 24hours prior or on the day of the game ..ONLY those from the Liverpool city region are permitted to attend
Season Ticket Members who choose not to enter the ballot or who are unsuccessful in the ballot will receive a pro-rata refund for the fixture as part of the Season Ticket refund process.
Ballot entry open from 5pm 2nd December to Midnight 4th December ..online and via a dedicated phone line Emails confirming successful places and safety requirements etc expected by 5pm Monday 7th December
Edit to add ..entry via the online application to the ballot wasn’t without problems , with some supporters reporting access , or sold out message problems

Liverpool’s reduced 2000 prices are as follows: Adult - £44.92; Young Adult - £22.46; Over 65 - £33.69; Junior - £8.80; Adult Disabled - £33.69; Young Adult Disabled - £16.84; Over 65 Disabled - £25.27; Junior Disabled - £6.71. chelsea are reportedly selling some hospitality seats for £470 a game in other words no use 2nd guessing ours until / if they’re announced IMO The green light to game with fans will need a bigger window than 3 days IMHO ..unless talks and plans are ready to be announced in advance ..so green light on 16th ( even if given ) may not realistically see fans in on the 19th ..most clubs have needed a bigger window than that

Liverpool FC haven't gone down the test route ..Everton have , it’s seen here as part of that club promoting the city’s mass testing programme ..which continues ..nowhere else has free testing on Liverpool’s scale at present ..so unlikely any other club would currently go down that route without mass testing being made available first ..a boots private test for instance is £120 I believe ..you’d need a test every game ..so I see Everton’s stance as temporary promoting testing

Would like the club to inform us of the potential process which will allow us to return, when we can. Feel well titsed when I look at the amount of fans at reading, seems like they have shoved them all in one stand as well. Still think it should have be a communal go ahead God knows how the tickets will be allocated but a bit of communication would be nice. Dont think for one minute stoke will be reduced to tier 2 before christmas, think it will be the next review.

Having just watched Quest. I’ve completely changed my mind about going back before it’s safe for EVERYONE. maybe it’s because we’re doing well. Probably is to be honest but it certainly wet my appetite seeing some fans back in the ground.

Surely they csbt be blocking up the labs for a got all game so it’s likely the antigen Lateral flow test . You can buy those for £30 but no proof if you go not sure how it’s going to work in practice

I'm amazed the difference 2000 is making. Got to be largely because they're just pumped to be back after 9 months away, and are actually inclined to make an actual noise.
Don't know how long it'll last...

I've seen how the TV cameras aren't zooming in on anyone slipping the mask down, and doing anything that won't look good.
I've spotted several where fans have climbed over seats when half time goes and they are all about to be together, fans pulling the masks down and the cameras quickly pull away from viewing it 😁
