Fans would social distance? Whoever thinks that is seriously thick as fuck. I go around shops and petrol stations and I think, am I the only one wearing a mask? People stand about a foot away from me in a sandwich shop with no mask, until I tell them to keep your distance. Are people thick as fuck in this country, or just bloody ignorant. So when it comes to fans and stadiums - don't go, it really is that simple. Whether he goes or not just isn’t relevant is it ?

If this sort of thing is really an issue for people, then don't go. In fact don't go out anywhere. When leaving the concourse at the end of the game, you just simply walk out as if you would from a supermarket or shop or any other establishment you've been in. Also, there would likely be a maximum of maybe 500-1000 people in a stand at any one time, so you're not exactly going to be fighting each other for space My point is you can’t social distance at football, what happens in shops is irrelevant Absolute nonsense. You can social distance at football because people are doing it in other countries. I 100% would feel safer going to a game of football than going to the local supermarket where you are crammed into the aisles and reaching over people for stuff.

Do people really think as fat head Steve Bruce has said this morning, there should be 20 thousand people at St James this weekend, there wouldn't be hundreds throwing beer around and singing in the concourses? Yes, I do.

I'm assuming that bars would be shut to stop this from happening and people gathering for a drink. Also the exit doors would be open, like they are to smokers, for people to spread out 2m apart outdoors

Whether he goes or not just isn’t relevant is it ? How is it not relevant? Because the argument is about whether you can social distance at football, not if he wants to go or not

Because the argument is about whether you can social distance at football, not if he wants to go or not Not one case has been traced back to any of the trial games. So, evidently you can.

You make it clear that anyone caught breaking the covid laws they will be prosecuted and banned from football grounds.

Anyone seen the Norwich situation ? What the fuck I think it's a great idea. Can't see anything at the moment that would stop clubs from doing this.(unless in Tier 3 area perhaps) - Raises them some extra income without supporters at home games - Sticks two fingers up to the government for the ridiculous state of affairs they have put clubs in - If theatres and cinemas can open with social distancing, why can't stadium lounges etc?

Anyone seen the Norwich situation ? What the fuck It’s basically like us opening the Waddington suite for fans to watch on a big screen. Bit pointless if you ask me.

I'm in complete agreement with everything you said. Just the idiocy that you can't watch it on the actual pitch with reduced capacity. Staggering

It's absolutely fucking bizarre. Can't get the virus below National League north level either. Stoke along with probably the other 71 EFL clubs are all over the return with suitable plans in place. I personally feel like as always the football fan is yet again a pariah

I'm interested to see how successful the 4 Championship clubs were today that showed the game live in their stadiums bars and executive suites.
I know Boro were at home and showed their game which is interesting. If it was a success, then I can see more clubs adopting this.
If fans start turning up in larger numbers, then maybe the government will think again.

Think more and more clubs will start jumping on this now as it seems to be a winner.
That Brentford deal for £40 is a shocker though!

I can’t see this season progressing much further. A six month break beckons.
