Reviews normally don't end well! my understanding of it is that we will not be back in the stadiums next month from what he has said.... gutting for us as fans, and gutting for the clubs who will fold and struggle now

He's sowing the seed. He didn't need to say anything at all if he thought it was still going to happen.

Sad to say I think the idea of 6,000 to 9,000 fans per game (as was hoped with the Red and White season tickets) is going to be off the table for a while. 🙁

Looks like the return of fascistic measures will rule out any return of supporters. Think there will definitely be a second lockdown and that means no football during the winter.

So how about a streaming season ticket SCFC for those who showed good faith in March and bought their early bird season tickets.
Red and white scheme has just been lobbed in the bin by Boris.

Some small clubs are going to be struggling big time. i think some big clubs might struggle too, the likes of tottenham spring to mind, they operate as an elite club with huge payments to players and the investment in the new stadium etc while they sit just outside of that group... the small clubs will be finished

Having just watched the govt briefing even that hope has been delayed. Hopefully we will see each other again in our stadium in August 2021.

Should be an option for all IMO. £10 a game for what could well end up being the whole 46 match season will push plenty towards illegal streaming.

Absolutely no chance it’ll be this month, other than vale as the 6 person allowance won’t be exceeded

Only because of friends I’ll be purchasing a White Ticket (already paid in full in the initial early bird) when available.
IMHO all will go ahead as planned i.e 1 October being the start date.
Based on anecdotal evidence from a group of long standing STH’s (If it’s representative across the supporter base) it’s going to be very interesting on the take up of the Red/White ST’s which may alleviate any concerns of the actual numbers v UK Gov guidelines.
Its a case of watch this space

And how about those who have had a season ticket for years, in my case nearly 50 , did not renew in March, but fully intend to do so when they are on sale again. Limit it as you say and I think the Club recognises the criticism it would receive and would deserve.

That price has been forced on the club by Sky and other broadcasting partners. Can't see there being much negotiation because the club have already pushed for cheaper and got nowhere. Illegal streaming will be most people's choice.

Understand that it’s external factors setting the price but £10 that’s a piss take, much rather have Netflix or Disney + for far less a month (haven’t included Amazon because it’s crap)
Plus the airing will be about as entertaining as watching paint dry

Not unexpected , though still disappointing ..as believe this was one of the few sanctioned elite level test games to provide feedback on processes etc. many non league clubs have already been providing valuable feedback of course for the last couple of weeks too.. but to have a formal elite level test cancelled clearly doesn’t bode well

Why for those who showed good faith. I've been holder for 13 season and first time I didn't renew early bird due to the possibility of what's now happened. As announced anyone who renewed is being refunded.
