Good move for him, when Allen returned he was never going to get a look in, probably wouldn't have made the bench.

The only wise decision to make!

Great decision by him and the club, we know he has the potential and MON obviously rates him so now's his chance to prove it, a season in league 1 playing competitive football will only help his development. Good luck Lasse. Gouranga.

He seems strong and fit enough to make it. This will test whether he can boss a game at that level. If he can, great, then to use MON’s expression he can ‘threaten the first team’

Gives Mr Cousins a free run at things..... Different positions. Cousins is battling Mikel and Thompson for a slot. Sorensen was behind Powell, Clucas, Allen and Oakley-Boothe. Sensible move for all parties

Thats a bit of a shame he should be in front of Thompson, at least he'll get some games.

Sensible move for all parties I think there's more chance he was behind Cousins than Powell, I think its only Boothe or Powell for that role tbh.

It should be Thompson going on loan not him.
From what I saw last season of him he’s good enough to fight his place

Very much a step backwards...and if he cant get a look in because Allen returns, then how is his chance going to be better a year on....

What would that mean between now and January - 3 or 4 starts and a few substitute appearances? Playing week in week out in competitive fixtures has got to be better. Ideally it would've been until January with a view to recalling him or extending the loan, but this seems a good second-best if there's no recall option.

At the moment I’d say Thompson is slightly ahead of Sorensen but Sorensen should have a good future in football. Whether it’s with Stoke or not who knows but it’ll be good to follow his progress this season and hopefully he comes back with a lot more experience and can challenge for the first team.

I heard an interview with him a short while back. He said he’d turned down other loan moves as he believed he’d been given a good indication he’d be getting games here. Not going out has probably held him back

Rather than letting them stagnate, he's giving them the opportunity to play and improve elsewhere.
