Not quite is probably fair.
He scores lots of goals but his finishing is erratic and he should score a lot more.
That’s my only criticism of him and it feels harsh given he does score shit loads.

That Lyon miss is a far too regular occurrence for Sterling.
Good player. Not world class. Can be though, and no doubt will.

I watched him live last season, he scored 4, should have had at least 6 and I thought he didn’t play well.
AGENDA 😂😂
Although I really like him and he’s clearly a very very good player.

Don't think we have any world class players at the moment. Sterling and Kane probably the closest we've got to it.
Some of the youngsters have real potential though. Foden and Greenwood are very exciting prospects.

He’s now as good as Bale, so yes. World class.

Not a good enough finisher so a no from me. 20, 18 and 17 goals in his last 3 seasons suggests that he can finish. Despite him getting the goals last season though, 1 assist is very poor.

He's a very good player but not yet world class. He scores a lot in a very good side but sometimes lacks composure in front of goal and is not as lethal as someone you expect to be world class.
If he was in one on one with the keeper I wouldn't put my house on him scoring.

World Class....seems to be a very ambiguous term.
Which non-English players would you consider world class? that might help in any analysis I guess?
Is Gareth Bale world class for example?
Do you get a badge when you become world class?....like Blue Peter

He ticks most of the boxes, would get into virtually every club team in the world and virtually every International squad. If he isn't World Class then no English player is.

Such as Ronaldo for an obvious example. I think Bale was a world class player but not sure he can be considered as such right now.

He isn’t and no English player is Of course he isn’t it’s because he’s English and we have a problem in this country of acknowledging anybody whose very good at what they do especially in football I’m sure if he was Spanish or French you’d be raving about him

Do you get a badge when you become world class?....like Blue Peter For me the world class term is basically "is that player good enough to get into a world 11?" if answer is no then they aren't. Of course formation of said world 11 would be a factor in deciding who makes the cut. Sadly my knowledge of the current crop of footballers is a bit shit now so can't really give you some relevant examples but if you deployed a 433 formation would Sterling be one of the front 3?
