1. Are England on terrestrial TV (I've binned Sky Sports for a few weeks until the league resumes). They're not on ITV1.
2. I thought Iceland had been relegated from Division A (or whatever it's called) last time, so how come England are playing them?

UEFA changed the format for some reason to increase the group sizes from 3 to 4 so none of the teams that should have been relegated were. Making a bit of a mockery of the whole idea🤷🏻♂️

The groups of 3 worked really well, made pretty much every game in every group competitive which made for much better football

I enjoyed it last year, they were certainly more competitive than friendlies with teams of a similar standard playing each other. Don’t think it’ll be the same this year but I shall be watching nonetheless.

I would have thought putting competitive England games on terrestrial TV would have been top of our jingoistic PM's hit list!

Last year because the groups were small and no big teams v tiny sides all the groups were grey to watch Miles better than Euro qualifiers or World Cup qualifiers. Can't understand why anyone would watch qualifiers but not watch Nations League football.

Is there any reason you think that wouldn’t be possible? The best teams should be in the major tournaments surely

Is there any reason you think that wouldn’t be possible? The best teams should be in the major tournaments surely You would have to mess with the format a bit because the groups are all seeded for quality or else you'd have the potential for strategic losing.. For example... Make sure you get relegated from group A now so you have an easier run in group B for the next World Cup. Wouldn't be used by the likes of England or Germany etc but you would imagine Scotland and Wales etc would use that plan as a route of getting to a world cup

Bollocks to common sense.

It also stops teams like Portugal playing meaningless friendly's against the lowest ranked teams so you gain ranking points and then when they qualify for tournament football they get seeded!

I like the Nations League and think it's far better than friendlies. Not sure how it'll go this time with all the Covid disruption and whether players will take it seriously enough but I'll certainly be giving it a watch.

It's a fucking joke that the National team isn't aired live on terrestrial TV, especially when you take into account the many millions of public money that get shovelled into The FA.

When they refer to Brek Shea as one of the more "skilled" players.... I've seen 2 "ladies" in an aisle at Wal-Mart contesting a purchase that were much more competitive and "skilled."

I'm of the opinion any sport when the national team are playing should be aired on terrestrial tv at least home fixtures anyway.

It's a complete disgrace that Sky Sports have got the England games.
We should never have to pay to watch our national team compete in any sport.
