Josh Tymon playing cm? Looked like he played some great balls! He could be useful in a three man midfield Jack Butland has commented on Tymon's Instagram or twitter calling him a "midfield maestro". Seems like Tymon is making a real fist of catching the managers eye. Fair play to the lad. Post Derby, I thought his time here was over.

I know it was only clips, but the football on display appeared light and day to the Blackpool game. Let's hope when the so called regulars/first choices reappear against Millwall the level of pass and move will remain.

Interesting observations from those clips...
Didn't seem too much wrong with butlands kicking
Ince's best game in a stoke shirt, for me, came when he played on left away at preston. Play him there or not at all.
Oakley booth looked very neat and tidy and played short, intelligent and forward passes when receiving in tight spaces.

Which one of our centre backs was that, who kept coming out with the ball, playing it out all the time.
Was that Collins?

Yup He could have been playing against leeds u11's and he's still doing things there danny baath couldn't do in a million years. Don't understand why he hasn't already had a run in the team

Maybe it's because we've been in a significant decline since he signed but I've maintained for a while Tymon has been horribly handled. He's a talented kid, it's pretty clear to see imo.

He's clearly a talented footballer, just an horrific defender. But kind of sums up the time he's been here tbh, who has tried to right that? Why has no one (despite it being obvious) played him elsewhere to try and help him? I've been a massive critic of Tymon as a left back but you could see the lad is a talented footballer and that can be honed. Now is the time for that.

That’s what the Leeds fans at work say. Yeah I thought it was odd I think they had a good 8-9 players missing/on international duty aswell. Always somebody who wants to piss on the parade

Whether it should be more or not is open to debate but past Fox, Campbell and Mikel no one else is likely to start.

Josh Tymon playing cm? Looked like he played some great balls! I thought that looked like he was a no8. Looked decent from what you saw, his pace in midfield would be useful. I don’t think anyone saw that coming. Depends on how much you actually saw him playing before. I wouldn't say it was surprising to see him partly dictate the game, but on the other hand he won't find many opponents giving that much space.

Wow, They’ve done some extensive work on the seating at Clayton Wood over lockdown. Probably had to cater for all the Leeds scouts and technical staff. Rather bold move by MoN to play a lot of youngsters and players who haven’t played together much. Worked a treat! Think he’s really working on every player individually to give confidence, get the most and show them how they can get together through their individual strengths. I’m really pleased and excited to be watching a stoke side again, not felt this positive for the past 6 years. Hope these good stoke vibes starts rubbing off on some of you serial grumblers soon!

And 80 minutes, eh? Seems Leeds wrapped it up early before we scored 5.

Looked more advanced than TOB in some of the highlights. Could Tymon become one of those comparatively rare players who successfully convert to a new position after spending their academy years in a different position. Famous examples are Bale (who started life as a comparatively unsuccessful left back) and Henry, who converted from wing to centre forward when he moved to Arsenal. Commons was another one who played almost all of his academy years at left back before converting to a midfielder when his senior career started. Hopefully this is the start of something big for Tymon - and Stoke City!
