Let's not get carried away, only friendlies. Still no injuries, clean sheets, players getting good minutes, players tried in new positions e.t.c All good So basically what you're saying is we're gonna win the league?

Jack has performed well against both Leeds and Newcastle, food for thought maybe. Can only be good if both keepers are in form.

Ending our preseason with two very good results there! Hope we can keep it up next weekend as well! But weren't we doomed to relegation when we played Burton a week or so back - according to many on here? I don't remember anyone talking about relegation.

I'm really impressed by the way MON has varied the squads for the friendlies and LC match.
Lots of players have had their chance, even those that are clearly only on the fringe.
It will be fascinating to see who he goes with next Saturday. Ince starred in the last match and not used today, does that mean he is satisfied or not?
Disappointing not to see the play today. What has impressed me in previous matches is the commitment of the players.
It's hard now not to get too optimistic about our chances of at least getting into the play-ofs.

Results in friendlies aren't really that important, but I think it's good for the confidence that we beat two PL teams just before our season starts.

So it’s looking like 4-3-2 to start the season:
Davies Smith Batth Chester Indi Fox Mikel Clucas Powell ? ? ? ? ? ?

Very odd if he's planning to play 4 at the back when he played 3 at the back against BOTH Leeds and Newcastle. Dunno who will be in the starting eleven but a 3412 formation would be what I would bet on if I was a betting man,

I can’t really say I disagree too much given the results we’ve had while playing it.

Here we go again with Ince. A nothing game and he’s rejuvenated. Of course he’ll come good, he’s Championship Royalty, Yadda yadda yadda. Einstein said to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result is the definition of insanity. Let’s keep picking Ince and prove Einstein wrong; we learn absolutely nothing. Given how much we paid for him and other clubs not willing to pay what we'd need only an idiot would not persist with him and try to get him back in form. Don’t call me an idiot Bos. What have you seen in two years that makes you think he’s really going to do anything? Following your logic ( I.e. we were dumb enough to pay £10m for the shyster) we’d better get Wimmer back in the side— who knows perhaps he’ll find some form.
