He's not had a good year. That rubbery last year left him feeling a bit flat His lad is having trials at Chelsea. Being touted as the New Matic. Was first spotted as an extra in the film " Bibendum Like Beckham"

Cheers. Have seen those phone box efforts at home and abroad and its always good to see, though Id be skeptical about how much turnover of books they actually see. Will check out Abacas as have been through Miltoni several times, but never heard of it. These places need to be supported. Spotted this place just past Longnor yesterday. Worth a look maybe. highpeakbookstore.co.uk/A great shout, thanks.

Stoke has a huge homelessness issue so those affected will have to live somewhere. I've no opinion on whether that somewhere should be Stoke, but if not there it'll be somewhere else locally. Improving how homeless services are delivered is one thing, but they're clearly needed locally. It's the delivery that's the issue. To the organisation delivering it, it'll be just another contract that they staff with people on slightly higher than the minimum wage. In my experience the staff turnover of these organisations is getting higher as a result. You can earn as much on a checkout at Lidl. A false economy all round then, as not getting these services rights costs all of us far more in the long run.

My parents live in Milton, nice little place, opt for Bagnall though lovely place. There’s a nice feel about the place overall, a few pubs, nice curry house and it’s not rough which is important. If you need any information about Milton PM me as I grew up there. Cheers for that. What's the bus service like in either place? The dire state of public transport is pushing me towards a flat next the centre/train station.

No bother, friendly people Students can be noisy though Why did you move ? the location is perfect for the poster and accommodation is relatively cheap, a friend of mine owns 4 properties all terraced that he rents out, it's not somewhere I would aspire to live being a country type, as you say those students are noisy and tend not to clean the houses very well from what he tells me.

Yeah it's looking that way OK, and genuinely appreciate the input from folk on here in sifting through the chaff to get there. Holding off making a move for now as the market is falling and I'm in no rush to leave the current digs. A couple of places I did fancy sold quickly, but that's the risk you run.

Was in Bagnall last weekend got absolutely rat arsed in the Stafford Arms lovely food by the way, it helps when the bill is picked up by a client I did some work for, lovely part of Staffordshire I looked at property there a few years back you could buy half of Shelton for the price of one decent one, Light Oaks is lovely and the golf course is an added bonus, I would opt for Stanley personally best of both.

Princess is still going but not as you know it. It’s wank these days😬 Really what a shame I have not been down that area for years apart from passing through and have lost contact with the lads, the whole area around there has changed from when I was a young lad, my aunty used to own in a beautiful house in Normacott on Chaplin Rd when it was a really nice area, her old house now sadly looks like a doss house I have vowed never to use that route again it's upsetting, I suppose the lack of investment has turned these traditional terraced type areas into virtual cesspits, Hanley centric "local Labour government" spending obsession has left parts of the City ripe breeding grounds for squalor they have a lot to answer for, little wonder the grass roots working class of the City have turned their backs on them, aka the next leader is an ex BNP councillor

As you say there are some lovely houses on Chaplin Rd and it was once a lovely street. Completely decimated now though unfortunately. I wouldn’t walk down there in the day never mind the night nowadays. Very sad

I should imagine it’s very good it’s literally 2 miles max from Stoke station, one straight road that services the university, Hanley town centre so there will be a very busy bus route, if you’re not aware the university is 100 yard max from the station. Keep away from anywhere near the station it’s not a nice place, honestly Milton is a nice place and a solid place to live in, nice little village feeling that’s serviced by numerous nice shops, chippy, co-op, Liddell, curry house, 2 pubs I think, there was an oatcake shop I think, there’s baddeley green also, right next to Milton, nice place and the above all apply, all on one straight road. Look At Debra Timmis estate agent she’s in Milton and local herself and knows the area well, I’m trying to get my son to move to Milton it’s a solid 9/10 call. PM if you want mate

Very sad I didn't feel comfortable driving down it let alone walking it, I would imagine it would be a virtual no go area for people like myself at night time, I spent many happy hours there as a kid day and night, all the neighbours were friendly as Stoke people used to be renown for that has also changed from what I gather, the heart and soul has been ripped out off such areas in the City the old community spirit has gone forever sadly.

For the next ten years I want our local leadership/council to give there heads a wobble and identify which of our towns they’re going to call our city center (Hanley) and get on with it instead of a half arsed effort, put some green space/escape space in the town such as by the old bus station. Make Hanley a destination town with bars and eateries that are diverse, maybe introduce street food as a regular thing, and put them in an area instead of spread all over. Whilst this is ongoing spread the wealth amongst the other towns, develop what they already have , embrace there history. That dude from the sentinel was on radio the other day saying what great buildings they have in boslem and how they are criminally underused, make a town like that a go to for ceramic art etc. Put someone like valentine clays in there that can run some sort of hands on experience and encourage ameture potters to get in there. Bring people in, make stoke a town that embraces its links to the nearby uni....... what I’m trying to say is try shit instead of giving us a city that will be all right when it’s finished. A phrase I’ve heard for 38 years Have you seen @regenerate_sot on twitter?
