Barcelona’s most expensive player has just come off the bench for the other team and scored two.

Yeah, good luck Citeh (or Lyon) Man City will give them a game no doubt. But Bayern were superb tonight with a lot of help from a team completely devoid of any fight or tactical nous. Humbled

Humbled Oh Barcelona are an absolute spent force and a club in flux but I can't see Citeh coping with Bayern. It'll be a lot closer though, which isn't hard.

You can't have failed to notice that Bayern's defensive was easy to penetrate; a better team would have exploited that and would have scored more goals. Not as many as eight, obviously, but had Barca taken more of their chances, before the rout set in, the game might have been somewhat diffrent; same result, but different score, less embarassment for Barcelona.. What I am getting at is that there weaknesses for another team to exploit. They'd still have to close up against several of the world's best attacking players, though.

Bayern are taking the piss. I love Muller, he's a world class footballer. Nobody talks about him much but for me he's their best player. He was chosen as Man of the Match.

Firstly, such a shame these aren't free to air nowadays
Secondly, 1 game knockouts are great - this is why the World Cup is such fun

I haven’t been watching (on train from work) but their manager is absolutely shite. Why is Roberto playing? They have got the attacking talent to go down swinging. Ricqui Puig should be playing, he’s a joy. I never watch much Spanish football. Griezman has replaced Roberto and he's shit. I would have him Stoke though. Bayern are too strong and nobody in a Barca shirt looks good. You would not want him for Stoke. He's trouble. Only plays for himself. Constantly picks verbal fights. You'd pay to get rid of him!

They haven’t had an “identity” for 2/3 years now. That club is an absolute mess. They need a complete overhaul and have done for some time. Very dodgy transfers and a footballing plan that seems to be give it to Messi. The supporting cast just aren’t good enough. Their current identity is like you say, pass it to Messi and let him do the magic. I couldn't tell you the specifics but I know their fans hate the higher ups at the club. I'm also a bit confused by their Watford approach to managers? Seems like they go through 2 a season. I'm not saying the managers didn't deserve the sack, but why do they always get it wrong? They never seem to go international either with their appointments. Beyond Messi and Suarez, they aren't up to much. Thought at the time the Griezmann signing was the boring and average option. Their fans hate Suarez, well the ones on Twitter I follow do. They never needed Griezmann. One of their best players imo was Arthur:

I’m amazed that Lewandowski doesn’t get more credit for ballon d’or, especially in years where Bayern have dominated Europe. He’s a really complete forward and an insanely good goal scorer.

They've sold him for £70m but then buy Pjanic for £60m? It doesn't make any sense. Selling Arthur is bad enough but replacing him with virtually the same player who's 6 years older just seems backward and anti-football. They've done it for profit reasons but even then I don't understand it? Will look good on the 19-20 accounts but next season they'll be in the same position. They've got history for it as well. Sold their backup goalkeeper to Valencia for £35m and then bought Valencia's goalkeeper for £35m. I don't understand the amount of publicity the Barcelona board get? It seems like their whole boardroom is in the public eye yet it's pretty rare for that to be the case in the rest of football. Real Madrid are similar in that sense as well though. It's probably just a Spanish media thing but it's just odd.

Apparently if Bayern win the championsleague Barca will have to pay Liverpool £4.5m in add-ons for the Coutinho transfer. There is a clause in his contract saying that they have to pay a fee if Coutinho wins the championsleague whilst under contract with them. However they never considered that when he went on loan.

Sale shown as income and purchase spread over the length of the contract ie. 5 year deal written off at £7M a year therefore in year one £28M added to profit.
