I can tell you exactly what they said. That they were embarrassed by the way she behaved and that they thought she’d manipulated the situation and totally over reacted to the officer who they thought had dealt with her really well. Strange. Exactly the opposite of what I've heard. It wasn't even anger just dismay that this was now 'normal' and would be 'normal' for the poor kid in the car. Have you seen the incident and then listened to their stories afterwards? Who have you heard that off Mr Sheik? Twitter? |

The whole thing with Bianca Williams just looks horrific and when you hear how many times her partner has been stopped and falsely accused of things you know something is gravely wrong. This is a law abiding young family simply being harassed around their daily lives and the bit that most young black families go through, where they have to have 'that' conversation with their kids, that things are going to be 'different' for them, it's heart wrenching. |

I can assure you this was my friends view and not some bull I concocted to make my opinion more valid. With both incidents I believe there’s a lot of questions still need answering. At the moment we have the 2 accounts from the 2 females. I think it’s a great shame that the body cam hasn’t been released and we’re left with just 2 edited phone videos to base an opinion on. Though I have an opinion I would be happy to change it if the body cam showed the officers to be at fault. This is where Ms Dick needs to show some guts and fight for the videos to be released so we can have a fairer / truer picture. I have no doubt that there will be plenty more video to come because until police are allowed to release BWV the incidents will always be slanted which isn’t healthy and there will be no deterant for people wanting to make a name for themselves. Maybe it’s me but if I was being stopped by the police the last thing I’d think of doing would be whipping my camera out and then sticking it on you tube. I’d be looking to deal with any complaint with far more discretion. You have to ask why would you put something that was so upsetting and personal all over YouTube. |

Data protection is a big stumbling point and is very much in favour of the stopped person at the moment. When you watch crime docus you will never see the face of someone arrested unless they’re charged. |

Released in ALL circumstances? I’d be 100 percent for that. That why they wear BWV in the end to protect the officer and the other party in case complaints are made. It makes officers a lot more transparent. The public appear to be a lot more protected than police as was shown in Ms Butlers video where the drivers face was hidden. |

Then I’d be thinking I’ve done nothing wrong so I’ll let them crack on and I’ll be off in 5 mins. In respects there’s a few things of note 1- has he been stopped 16 times? That needs to be confirmed. 2- what were the circs for the stops? eg had there been a recent surge in crime. If someone’s stop searched the grounds will be explained to them why. The searches would be also need to be signed off by a supervisor. |

Again it’s just an opinion based on one view. That of the driver. To get a proper balanced perspective you need to hear both sides. You can never get the truth till all versions have been heard. That hasn’t happened yet. |

Not necessarily lying but I’d be amazed that they can be so precise in remembering how many times they’ve been stopped. What I would say is if I lived in an area of high crime where the majority of crime is being committed by young black males and I was black myself and law abiding I wouldn’t have an issue with being stopped. In fact I’d feel reassured. If I lived in an area of high crime where no one was being stopped and murder, robbery, gang violence was going up I’d be pissed off if I wasn’t being stopped if I was walking / driving in the area. Often it isn’t even a case of being searched it’s just a chat and some engagement. |

How much is racism and how much perception.
For example I remember a lesson at college we had two Asian lads in the discussion they were moaning they get followed round shops stop and searched etc as Asian.
Excactly the same used to happen to us and I used to get stopped on my way home from glass collecting job asking what I was doing where going most frigging nights! I just thought it was as I was young and suspicious.
Point is that it's the same experience viewed differently?
I didn't especially care as thought nothing of it apart from being young or in a group of young lads.
No wonder our police are complete fanny social workers now. Now we got mps gobbing off and filming the police.

If I was stopped 16 times in a year I'd be fully clued up on Pace and I'd have records and the police would be getting done for harrasment.
Then the stop and searches would stop and maybe even some compo.
