No better than liam lindsay imo So why did we spend 2 odd million on Lindsay when we had Souttar and Collins already 'in the building' ? A very good question Bad business

Yes, he's very comfortable in possession. To be fair I think Lyndsey isn't bad on the ball either he just makes too many mistakes You have probaly seen more of him than i have tbh but i would say he is very uncomfortable on the ball more so than lindsay and as the turning capabilities of a truck I'll agree on the second point not the first

Nixon suggesting another loan is on the cards?
Would've liked to have seen him given a shot but suppose we've gotta trust MON's judgement.

Did you watch him in the play offs🤔Needs more experience on loan for me His consistent rave reviews over 18 months, league 1 player of the month award is,for me,a better indicator. He is very big. He is slow He's also excellent on the ball, strong in the tackle, good in the air (obviously) He's definitely worth a go. He's captain material. (not for now, but the future).

Interesting to see where he ends up. Realistically just can't see him figuring here enough to keep him for the season and stifling his development.
But where does he go? Would he start for a lower-end Champ team?

If we have serious ambitions to better ourselves and seriously bid for a top 6 finish, it’s impossible to believe Harry Souter will play a part. Put simply, he just isn’t good enough.

However, hopes of landing the Australian international are fading as he edges closer to Stoke’s first-team. The Blues remain upbeat an arrangement can be agreed, although time is running out to make Saturday’s League One kick off against Shrewsbury.
However, Souttar has impressed during pre-season with the Potters and was among four unused substitutes in their weekend 1-0 friendly victory at Newcastle. And boss Michael O’Neill could keep him around their squad as they seek to improve on last terms’s 15th placing.

Would've thought it's in everyone's interests to let Souttar get out on loan?
He's at least 6th choice for a max 3 places, isn't he?

Chester, Batth, BMI, Shawcross, Collins Fox an option on the left of a 3 too? Don't know where Lindsay factors in

He could be playing lots of games? If I was Stoke I'd hang onto Souttar and see what happens over next 6 weeks re Ryan and if Bruno (& Lyndsey) move on or not.

I’m assuming Lindsay is surplus to requirements. I suppose we can risk 4 plus Ryan if MON isn’t too wedded to the 3 at the back system. Shame we can’t loan Harry to a higher level team - would develop him more if he was at Cov or Rotherham, say.

I wouldn't do anything until after the Wolves game, I'd like to see him given 90 minutes against a good quality team before we get rid......

Said we'd learn absolutely nothing by sending him out to that level again because we know he can handle it. Did leave the door ajar for late in the window though

Good decision! We need to develop young players for the first team and to fill the squad, instead of wasters on high wages.

Souttar has spent 2 seasons out on lone at a level just below Championship where he has had regular football and played for Australia. He is now at an age where he is or isn't going to step up to the next level. We are going to be playing twice a week shortly and our older players will need time to recover from knocks and strains, which will give MON chance to stretch Souttar to the next level. It's make or break time for Souttar.

If you were a Championship forward, or a Manager, would you fancy coming up against Souttar?

If you were a Championship forward, or a Manager, would you fancy coming up against Souttar? Depends. If I was Matt Smith probably not, if I was Pukki/Watkins probably.
