In the past two decades I can only really remember us having the following genuine left backs at the club: Clarke Hansen Hall Griffin (?) Dickinson Pieters Tymon That Greek fella who was on loan Crazy really. Who was hansen, was it Mikael ? He was a right back, or is there another one I've forgotten ? His name was Mikael Hansson, Swedish.

Where are we up to with left back signing rumours? If we’re looking in and around the Championship, I’d like one of the following: Rico Henry - Brentford Clarke Odour - Barnsley Jay Dasilva - Bristol City Clarke Odour rumour has been hanging around like a bad smell for ages

Is it just me or can anyone else not read the word ‘situation’ without doing it with MON’s accent?

Tomas Esteves and Omar Richards I thought did well for Reading, whether we could get either would be another story though.

Omar Richards’ contract is up at the end of the year so could be available for cheap. Think hed be looking more for lower prem team coming in though and with Readings start, team like stoke could possible be seen as a side step.

Smith and Fox are both average (at best). Both adequate as back-up options for a promotion-chasing side, but don't think either are good enough to be starting, sadly. In fact, I think we probably need to upgrade 3 of the back 4 eventually. RB, LB and a proper experienced left-sided CB.

Perry Ng gotta be worth a punt I know hes a rb but looks a decent player We could do worse than look at both Ng and Pickering. Ng has been poor so far this season whereas Pickering has really stepped up to league 1 comfortably. Pickering would definitely be worth a cheeky bid, he'd cost very little and wages wouldn't be much either.

From what I was told last season Ng was much closer to being ready to make the step up than Pickering. Let’s hope we’re actively in the market for both positions because our options there at the moment are pretty poor.

I see Edwards lasted another 90 for Fleetwood in their 5-1 demolition of Plymouth. I'm assuming there's no January recall on him, and probably something we wouldn't want to do anyway?

Yeah last season Ng was immense but he's really struggled to make the step up, it may just be a matter of time.

The younger players have generally done well this season when given their chance in the first team. How are we doing on the progress of that young Manchester City starlet, the young left back Corrigan, who we signed. Seems to have been forgotten.
