Glad to see so many on here think like myself Two great goals but a final marred by play acting and rolling around the floor. Sadly there were players cheating today This is a sad day for the greatest cup competition ruined by people that don’t understand its significance Arsenal and chelsea are synonymous with cheating. What exactly did you expect? It's a massive part of the game for both teams Agree Dave but does that make it right? Noticed on BBC nothing was said

Why is VAR not used for the second yellow, how do you fuck up implementing a system this badly. It is a bizarre rule - but VAR cannot be used for a yellow (even a second yellow) but it can for a straight red. Totally stupid rule, VAR could play a positive role in the game if it was used quickly and appropriately.

Having endured that abysmal 2nd half...
The two lads watching saw Pulisic go down injured. Then they said the game is going to be crap now. .
After Pulisic went off, Arse were shocking, influencing the ref was the priority it seemed. The two lads felt the team that influenced the ref the most won. One lad said ‘Why try to play football, just waste time’
Anthony Taylor has just shown everyone how to let a team get the better of him. The Kovacievic red card was embarrassing.
Really surprised Willian was left out though...

Is it wrong of me to have a little smile on my face having watched Arsenal win the cup. I just can't stand the thought of how Lampard would react should he win anything. Lampard strikes me as thinking he is entitled. Whilst I have no love for Lampard, the thought that any Stoke fan would gain any enjoyment from Arsenal winning a toss let alone a cup fills me with sadness

What would Joey Barton know about proper football? A lot more than you and me that’s for sure Then we know nothing. Because he knows little more than nothing. One of the dirtiest players ever.

Despite it hardly being a final that lives long in the memory for any other reason than it being played in August then detatch yourself from the tribalism and take into account two teams who have had a massively disrupted season playing in an empty stadium I didn't think it was a bad spectacle.
Good first half, three good goals (one a well taken pen) and a narrow victory that Arsenal deserved to win.
That said I'd still rather watch a shit game played in a full stadium.

Lampard is one of the best footballers I've seen in my lifetime, and you don't get to be a great footballer if you think you're entitled. I can't imagine he'll have changed that much since becoming a manager...

I used to be able to remember the teams, score and scorers from every cup final from around 1985 onwards. I’ll be honest I couldn’t name a single winner with any confidence from about the year 2000 onwards (ok, 2011 excepted). Covid or not, the FA Cup final just isn’t an event any more. I think it's the same for most of us as we grow older. I used to know number one in the charts every week, now I don't even the name of the bands.

This. VAR doesn’t work end of Take it away and I'll give it two matches before the same pundits/fans/managers slagging it off are moaning about a refereeing decision and saying it would have been picked up by VAR. Personally I fucking hate it and never wanted it but the genie is out of the bottle - it's now about making it work.

Can’t believe Zouma as nailed down a place at Chelsea Always thought he was no more than OK when he was here Ok is the politest description I've ever read about him. Could lose his man in a phone box that lad. Awful defender made to look exactly what he was without shawcross next to him which is just about the only time he ever looked half decent. Was it him or the players around him?

Lampard strikes me as thinking he is entitled. Not a surprise he seems like that, failed at Derby and still got the Chelsea job, he's had everything handed to him on a plate manager wise so far. Oh dear.

No. There were no good outcomes - but it means Wolves miss out on the Europa League.
Which in the scheme of shit clubs that deserve nothing trumps The Arses winning the FA cup. Specially as the alternative was another shit club winning it anyway.
