I always look out for York City's results: a) Because most of my family live in York, and I have an affection for the city from many visits as a child. b) Because it rhymes with "pork". Ah, Pork City. Great place. Next to Hamburg if memory serves. Pig to get to though.

I thought that nearly all those in Yorkshire were Swine. But that might be a bit harsh as I'm basing my opinion on what I know of Leeds.

York is a really nice city, but I don't know much about their football club. Think Dennis Smith was manager there for a period, and I also think Chris Iwelumo played there.

Why relegate Wigan and let Sheffield W. start with -12 next season!? I really feel Charlton have a case here! Wigan went into administration an automatic 12 point deduction, Sheff Wed are financial irregularities, that's the only thing I can think of.

Still the deduction is -12 points, why some clubs are relegated and other are given a second chance the next season is really unbelievable! If we Wigan are relegated Sheffield W. should be relegated too. For me they both go or both stay up!

The only possible reason that they may be using was that Wigan went into administration during the season and Wednesday were found guilty after it had ended, although until the play off final it hasnt really ended.

It's an absolute disgrace they have known about this for how long! And yet relegate Charlton at their expense it's a fiddle and I would 100% take legal action to fight this ruling. The efl are just fucking sickening in how they have dealt with this and Derby. They have in effect chosen to relegate one club over another they are a bunch of corrupt bullshitters who need fucking off. They have deliberately held this judgement back to fuck Charlton over, they wanted Derby and SW and chose them over Charlton there should be thousands of Charlton fans ripping the efl offices to the ground I'm dam sure if it were us we'd be on buses enroute to do just that. Edit: the season is NOT over they could still deduct the points no problem corrupt scum.

Just scrap FFP. It isn’t stopping clubs having financial problems and it is stopping Rich owners putting more money into their clubs which will steadily filter down to smaller clubs.

Why are the footballing authorities pursuing subjective rulings like 'deception' 'not disclosing details' and in the case of Man City 'a failure to co-operate'. I am no lawyer but it seems almost impossible to prove these cases so why bother, change the rules instead. It seems that again the inability to pursue a flimsy charge has seen Sheff Weds avoid the trap door this season to the detriment of Charlton. Who will of course pursue this to no avail. At least it means that unless Sheff Weds have an outrageously good season next season they won't be play off contenders and will struggle to sign new players

Can see Charlton fighting that, insisting it is imposed this season. Thought the rules were that if it relegated a club it’s imposed in that season. If not it carries over to next season. -12 this season would relegate them and save Charlton. That’s the EFL rules as I understood? It would be fair imo but the discrepancies are for 2 different reasons

Just scrap FFP. It isn’t stopping clubs having financial problems and it is stopping Rich owners putting more money into their clubs which will steadily filter down to smaller clubs. I agree. It's so odd, living here in the States to see a professional sports franchise prevented from putting as much money or losing as much money as they see fit in their OWN clubs. And that investment steadily filters down to other clubs as march4 mentions. I'm not sure what incentive there is in owning a franchise in a league where some legislative board decides how much you can invest in your own damned club. I can understand there being strong rules in place to determine if you can BUY a club in the first place, but it's clear that the same legislative body has allowed some real shysters to slip past and buy clubs, then run them into the ground. So these "FFP rules" clearly aren't working.
