Only watched 10 mins so far. If this was today there would be 3 off already! ! I remember it 'live' and, as in the World Cup '66, Eusebio got kicked all over the shop...our League Cup final win would have seen a fair few red cards too if modern standards had been applied Happy days

Not as great a game as my memory played tricks on me. Very striking the differences to todayโs game in many respects.
Disappointed not to have seen more of Best.
Charlton, Ashton and Kidd looked class.

I always forget Brian Kidd is the age he is and that he was ever a footballer. I just associate him with sitting next to managers looking keen.

I was lucky enough to be at wembley for that match , my dad got tickets through his work . John Aston was the MOM despite Best getting all the plaudits

Jumped a mail train from Holyhead to London. In them days no one bothered apparently. Brian Kidd and his brother were bad news on the Manchester club scene apparently

I have vague memories of watching it on TV as a boy. You rarely got live football matches on TV then, the FA Cup final and World Cup matches every 4 years was about it.

The images of Matt Busby and Bobby Charlton after the game are some of the most poignant in football history.
Best himself said he was frustrated because he'd had a quiet game. But he made up for it in extra time.

Remember running around the living room when Benfica scored. And being gutted when Manure won I hated them even back then ๐

I remember Eusebio applauding Stepney after he saved one of his shots. What a player and a gentleman. Aston had the game of his life.
