It should be a very watchable final. Fulham Brentford WBA and Leeds were the obvious standout teams even before a ball was kicked this season. There's no denying its a crazy league but other than the above the rest in this league are distinctly average at best. It's why, unusual for me, I'm optimistic that with a couple of good additions to the first team we should be in the promotion mix at the end of next season. I am a bit baffled that so many on here see next season as a mid table consolidation season. For this to happen, with MON's points per game record, we would have to be competing with a poorer quality squad or the manager not maintaining his high standard....neither seems likely to me. I think people understand that we are severely handicapped in bringing players in, whereas a lot of our rivals won't be. Just because O'Neill got great results with this squad this season, doesn't automatically mean he will next season against clubs that will be able to refresh and improve their squads more readily than us. Next year will be tougher than this one. Pretty much three Championship clubs have been relegated, and at least two of those clubs have players almost ready made for this league without too much tweaking. A good, solid midtable campaign that gets us through to more contract turnover next year is more likely than not.

Hopefully Brentford do it, someone new.
The last two seasons have proved you don't need to chuck money around, you just need a competent manager.

Interesting point about the managers of both teams Both very inexperienced in management and both successful so far in the English game. Franck is interesting because he never played the game professionally and was not even a success in his only other management at Brondby in Denmark. shows that picking a manager is a bit of a lottery.
