Well the recruitment team surely will have know we needed a left back since Pieters was booted out of the door so we must have been doing significant work to find the right guy at the right price. Little did they know the best on offer in the whole of Europe would be an unwanted free from Sheff Weds. That list of released players seems like our main source of scouting....great process.

Past it. We need better. Definitely means we’re not signing anybody in other key areas. Need to ship out the deadwood first. Who? Not quick enough. There you go, saved everybody the effort. Past it? He's 25... Melt M

Just watched the highlights of this game actually. Where was he for our first? He took a risk by pushing out and wide when his team had the ball on the edge of their own box ( ), when they lost it he tucked right back inside next to Ince and got sucked under the ball. Dreadful defending. Don't worry your little head about it. Micky O will sort it out once he's in the building...

Never heard of him. His name looks like it should belong to a weather girl from California though.

I’d prefer him to Brunt.

People go on about a player is in shit team and hasn’t really done much, but that is Brentford’s whole model they look for players that have the attributes they want and are hitting the stats they are looking for. These are all from relative unknown teams and underperforming teams. And look where they are.

Marcus Hall would do. People always go too far.

We are favourites to sign him according to teamtalk. Is Homzy still working at teamtalk ?

Team talk says it all, probably no interest in him. Clearly we are after a solid left back, rather than an attacking one, like one poster alluded to, he is very much like Macari, no frills at the back with a sprinkling of gold dust up top. That would suit me just fine.

Sounds solid enough, bit unspectacular (kind of in Erik mould when he first signed) but just the kind of player we need to build foundations on. Given Tymons performance Wednesday (albeit as a wing back rather than an out and out full back) and given MONs praise, is Tymon being ear-marked to be in real contention next season?

While reading those comments I couldn't help but think which one of our players would be described in a similar fashion.. 'decent', 'average', 'ok', 'steady but limited' etc etc. Probably someone like Tommy Smith.
If we can get a LB in who's mostly competent, and the equivalent of Smith on the right, I'm more than happy with that.

I don't know much about this player, but he is a low cost signing, an experienced left back, but still quite young as well, he will certainly be an upgrade to Indi in that position, he seems to be a determined athlete as well from what I've read. I must admit I like fullbacks with more pace, but any upgrade is welcome. He could end up as back up to Tymon, but time will tell. Still a signing that is needed if we can't get anyone else in who is even better at a reasonable price, but that's unlikelikely I guess?

Our defence is weak though, we want to be adding one 'good' player atleast, and it makes sense to do that in a position that right now is our absolute weakest. This is a good chance to add some pace to the defence, it's already cripplingly slow. I'm amazed that this is the same forum which lambasts Bruno for his job at left back, Morgan Fox is literally the Brexit Bruno. He's slow and appalling on the ball from what I've seen.

Not everyone on here's watched him though- we're just going off what Wednesday fans are saying, the point being that even if he's average, it's still an improvement. Whether we can add good players is going to depend on the financial situation, but if there is someone better than Fox available at whatever price we can afford then yeah, we'd be daft not to go for it.
