Why's that then?
Windsor Park is owned by the iFA (Michael's old employer), it's by far the largest and most modern in Ni, so easily best suited to cope with Covid restrictions. Also it's in Belfast, so handily placed for airports and hotels.
And Linfield are one of three or four F-T (or near F-T) clubs over there, it possibly being less convenient for P-T players to fit in an extra game in their own pre-season.
I think as someone one who grew up there are quite naive to suggest that. Let's not open that can of worms again. Celtic went there for a Champions League tie as recently as 2017 and no-one died.
i somehow doubt that Stoke City playing behind closed doors next month would represent much more of a threat.
And that's from someone who has the same regard for Linfeld as your average Stoke fan has for Port Vale.

I never mentioned trouble at the game just animosity towards MON when he became manager. Anyway we haven't set a fixture with them so irrelevant.

Looks like it could be Linfield then Cliftonville v Glens on BBC NI 2 tonight, Cup semi-final, if there's a stream about?

Cliftonville v Glens on BBC NI 2 tonight, Cup semi-final, if there's a stream about? Both Semi-Finals are being screened live by BBC2 NI just now - Coleraine 1-0 up with 20 mns left.
Reds v Glens follows afterwards.
You can watch on this stream:
Or if you have a Smart TV just go to BBC iPlayer, retune the BBC2 channel to the Ni version and you can watch on a big screen.

Thanks, I missed this last night, so will try that for the final, now the Glens are in it www.youtube.com/channel/UCB6XClFrHsP0i8nomT_Jx_w?reload=9

According to the Beeb: "The [Final] will be broadcast live on BBC Two NI, the BBC Sport website, the BBC iPlayer and BBC Radio Ulster." (more info here)
The final between Ballymena U and Glentoran on Friday (8 pm k.o.) is easy to find on BBC iPlayer- if you have a smart TV you can watch it on that via the iPlayer App, or even re-tune it (temporarily?) to BBC2 NI if you can be arsed.
I watched last night's Semi-Final, which went to Extra Time and Pens - amazing effort from 2 x Part-Time teams playing their first "proper" game since March. The Pen Shoot-out was brilliant, too, with the Glens 39 y.o. gk saving the 19th pen to win the tie. (Of the pens, 18 of them were on target, with only one blazed over, with the 2 gk's saving 2 each.)

A section of Linfield fans gave MON dog's abuse his 3rd game in charge, wasn't just one or two. Was absolute hatred but I guess behind closed doors As for no one dying in the Celtic v Linfield game, yes thankfully no-one died but the bottle throwing incidents at Celtic players were just fine I guess. MON himself said after the game 'footballers should be safe while on the pitch. Whether it’s a coin, bottle, it shouldn’t happen. The players, they go onto the field and it should be a safe environment for them' and rightly so . Was a UEFA investigation into the trouble and Linfield were fined and a stand partially closed .

You're off your head.
Or go to 20 mins 45 seconds on this video and see the reception he got from the NI support previously as he took to the field at Windsor at his first game in charge: Note that he took his wife, two small children and parents to the game - hardly the actions of someone who was expecting a hard time, was it?
And look at this story last November in (ahem) The Irish News after he took the Stoke job:
Anyhow if Stoke should play Linfield in pre-season, it will have been on the recommendation of the man himself and make whoever it was ruled it out earlier look a bit of a tit.

No one said anything about after the game, he actually got death threats but like you say. Maybe you should read what I actually wrote re Linfield fans and his own comments about them v Celtic . He was always very diplomatic as he had to be and won the backing of so many but if you think it didn't happen then you are very naive and not really in a position to be calling out insults Was actually a 'NO FENIAN BASTARD' banner but like you say. Which bit of small section did you fail to understand ? Seems quite a few things . No one denied him being popular and getting a great reception (ahem) when he left either. Even Lawrie Sanchez got abuse by a small section re his religion but you expect it. Like I SAID, was a minority

I assume behind closed doors? Safe assumption. Although the IFA did allow fans to attend the Irish Cup Final last week, that was a one-off for local football's "show piece" game, and even then it was confined to 500 in total (250 each club), in an 18k stadium.
I can't believe they'd do so for an (otherwise meaningless) practice match - simply not worth the risk. If nothing else, even despite infection rates being lower in NI than England, I can't believe the Michael/Stoke would want the extra risk of fans in the ground either.
And that's only Covid-19: you never know what other horrible disease you might contract from Linfield fans!
