Clubs getting it left right and centre with sanctions. Get the open top bus ready because there will be no teams left to compete against in 4 weeks time.

Why are these penalties being applied next season when Wigan were relegated this season?

Why are these penalties being applied next season when Wigan were relegated this season? Because Wigan went into administration this season, these charges against Derby are 1. Different to Wigans 2. Connected to last seasons accounts not this season.

Why are these penalties being applied next season when Wigan were relegated this season? I think it is because if the penalty is not enough to relegate you it gets moved on a season since if applied this season its not really a penalty at all. But then you might ask why doesn't it get passed on to a 3rd or 4th season if it is not enough to relegate you next season and the answer to that is I haven't got a scooby. That's only for going into Administration. Sheff Wed would have been relegated if their points had been deducted this season.

It does make me think though if you are going to go in to Admin you are best to do it big style, lose so much money in assembling a squad so good it can easily ride out any 12 point penalty this season or next!

Connected to last seasons accounts not this season. I get they are different offences but the sanction is the same and would have relegated the Owls. I could understand if the offence was related to next years accounts (silly I know) but someone has made a decision to delay the penalty to keep the Owls up and I don't see why. I assume lawyers for Wigan and Charlton will be getting rich from this? Normally only West Ham would get such favorable treatment.....unless I'm missing something (highly likely 🤣)

If 2 or 3 clubs start off with minus 12 next season, you could foresee a landslide of other clubs doing it at the same time to clear the books and start afresh.
Everyone starting on -12? Would be kinda funny

Owners should be allowed to pump as much of their own money into the club as they want with the simple rule if it goes tits up it's them who lose out and nobody else!
