Could see him being loaned out because with his wages we are unlikely to get any fee for him in the current climate.

I can see him going to celtic or rangers, doing well and restoring his reputation.

My personal take on Butland is he considers himself to be playing in a lower level team than his talent deserves and when mistakes happen he has had a ready supply of scapegoats in the team to deflect blame onto, perhaps having see how the team improved during his absence he will now realise where the problem lies?

Wonder if Bournemouth might come in for him, didn’t they bid £12m last summer? Plus you’d think Ramsdale has a good chance of a Premier League move. My mate (Sheff Utd fan) reckons they will try to bring Ramsdale back if Henderson goes back to Man Utd. Bournemouth is probably as good a shout as any. Won't be 12m though!

Class is permanent, form is temporary Needs to move on for both his and our sakes, but when/if he moves on, he will go with my best wishes. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets back to the form we know he is capable of at his new club. Not sure where all the bad attitude stuff comes from as from what I've heard and seen he seems a decent bloke 3 seasons isn’t bad form is it? It hasn't been three seasons of consistently bad.

No it is more Always overrated Let’s not exaggerate. At the end of the 18/19 season I presented him with the Supporters club player of season, which I think is the largest poll of supporters.

Celtic have signed a Greek keeper so can probably rule them out.

It's not a exaggeration, How many votes would it take to win it, a couple of hundred,??. 18/19 was a terrible season and he made plenty of mistakes. McClean would have been a far credible winner

Let’s not exaggerate. At the end of the 18/19 season I presented him with the Supporters club player of season, which I think is the largest poll of supporters. It's not a exaggeration, How many votes would it take to win it, a couple of hundred,??. 18/19 was a terrible season and he made plenty of mistakes. McClean would have been a far credible winner The simple fact is that more supporters voted for him as player of season 2018/19 than any other player. Personally, although I don't think he is quite the player he once was, for whatever reason, I think that on this, as is quite often the case on this Board, there is a lot of hyperbole around. There are also a few amateur sports psychologists around who no doubt have never met him, let alone had an in-depth discussion with him about his form. I'm happy to trust MON's judgement on this, as I am on most other player issues. If he stays I hope that MON gets the best out of him. If he leaves I wish him all the best and thank him for what he's given us.

So who can afford his wages while taking on loan? Not necessarily all his wages, part though. Haven't we had enough of paying other clubs' wages, usually with us paying the bigger part... I'd say keep Jack, even if he's second choice - personally I think he'll prove himself in pre season and stay no.1. But even if he's not, he'd be good as back up to Davies. I'd love to see Bursik or Blondy be given a chance but a little further down the line just yet.
