Looks like Angus Gunn could be off. Wonder if that link had anything to it and whether it'd be revisited if Butland went. Surely it would have everything to do with it, as (I thought?) the link was some kind of swappsies: Jack for Gunn anyway?

He's lucky to get any opportunity at that level. What a twat. Jack has lost his form, confidence and his mistakes have cost the team valuable points, but to call him a twat makes you look the gormless prick that we have come to expect. He has been a proud ambassador for the club, and for a footballer he can actually string more than two words together and create a sentence. My lasting impression of Jack will not be as a footballer but as a MAN who spoke from the heart and I think spoke for all the fans when we lost Sir Gordon Banks, he was a credit to himself and he actually made me feel proud to be a Stoke fan I have no idea why people give him an easy time with the antics he’s shown here. Twat is being kind.

MON seemed to confirm it was Davies' shirt after the Blackpool game - so any chance at all Butland starts on Saturday?
And if he does end up staying (still can't see it), wonder what level of poor Davies form would lead to him getting a chance.
Once we've made the call with Davies, you'd think we'd have to back him fully as he's the player under contract long-term.
But a season on the bench in the Championship for Butland, at his age, profile and contract status seems unthinkable.

But a season on the bench in the Championship for Butland, at his age, profile and contract status seems unthinkable. You're right. It won't happen. It would be like having Shaqiri, Arnie, Nzonzi or Fuller always on the bench for some reason. Maybe Butland will come back to his high standard this season? Then we have at least two keepers, Davies and Butland - and only need one more.

If Jack is still here next season and Davies shows any kind of dip in form I don't think MON would hesitate to put Jack back in. Something tells me, I think it was MON's reluctance to drop Jack in the first place, that he still believes prime time Jack is a better keeper than Davies.

Surely Davies has to start?
We have conceeded less goals with him there. Im sure the back 4 feel more comfortable with him there than Jack.
This is a results business, and Adam Davies has not done anything to lose the shirt. Reputations and player valuations should not affect selection

Prime Jack is England class, but has not been seen since before he broke his ankle against Germany. Current Jack is inferior to Davies.

I have no idea as to your intellect mate. Sorry. Chelsea signing a keeper already in england would spark a merry go round and a series of openings that would probably secure butland's departure. If they sign the keeper from Rennes, that scenario ends.

Get him gone. Had his chance and has been woeful for too long. He’ll be lucky to get first choice at a top half championship club.

I have no idea why people give him an easy time with the antics he’s shown here. Twat is being kind. You embarrass yourself sometimes..... This kind of attention seeking, smug, idiot, feeds off posting perpetual tripe. He does it simply to provoke, and doubtless enjoys it. Anyone who posts 100k posts must have one sad life. Starve him of attention, ignore his mundanity.
