I think we were the first club to sell bacon and chayze oatcakes in the concourse. OS. Any that were unsold, innovatively, were placed down player’s socks, in order to protect the tibia, leading to the aforementioned introduction of shin pads. Oatcakes were subsequently then banned, as their application was thought by non stokie administrators to be an illegal use of artificial stimulants.
