I haven’t seen the details of the charges but without knowing the facts the outcome was completely predictable. Completely spineless organisation. Man City would have probably been given a bigger punishment for not playing the Champions League theme tune pre-kick off or for advertising a product that wasn’t on UEFA’s official list....... It isn't UEFA that have over turned it but the CAS, UEFA had banned then Fair point. I think in general though they've never set really their stall out on FFP. They kept delaying the roll out of it, there's too many loopholes for clubs to artificially inflate their income with questionable sponsorship deals, other issues around different tax rates, third party ownership etc. They buckled after the PSG investigation and of the 23 teams investigated currently 16 have had a reprieve. It's been a farce from day one.....

In other news, Man City have mounted another challenge in the courts. This time it's the PL lawyers (Dolittle, Allday and Knight) that will be shredded by an Etihad QC. It revolves around ownership of the PL title. It's an open and shut case. Man C bought the trophy, fair and square.

Scrap FFP, apart from VAR it's the shittest thing they're come up with since the advent of transfer windows.

Scrap FFP, apart from VAR it's the shittest thing they're come up with since the advent of transfer windows. im against FFP and p & s rules, stifles progress and it makes the league better as the cheaper players i.e. super jon will play extra hard to prove they are just as good as the 100 million mega signings!

FFP wants pissing up the wall. There are too many loopholes and brilliant lawyers around for it to be applied properly. Now Sky and the rest of the media own our beautiful game, only the filthy rich clubs will succeed. If this had happened to a small club, they would be bankrupt and out of business in no time. Like VAR, the sentiments are good, but the implementation can be utterly farcical.

They should fuck FFP off completely its certainly holding us back. It denies the little folk from breaking into the monopoly. How is it holding us back?? We have the most expensive squad in the Championship! If you mean in terms of breaking into the top 4 of the Prem (i.e. THAT monopoly), then it'll be a fuck of a long time before we get close to that and that most definitely isn't because of anything to do with FFP. Regardless of what you say about the current squad we are hamstrung in who we buy and sell or even ditch. We are unable to spend as we wish unable to "buy" our way out of trouble if we wanted to. As for the monopoly your right it would be tough but it's not impossible but with FFP it is. What's so hard to understand about that. Did Man City buy their way to success? And before you point it out yes we are not Man City but with FFP we never will be either.

Mourinho: "If Manchester City is not guilty of it, to be punished by some million is a disgrace. If you're not guilty you're not punished. In the other way, if you're guilty you should be banned." Guardiola: "Maybe ..."
