Missing today v Boro due to illness this morning
Quote from BCFC in the Bristol Newspaper
“City have a pre-arranged purchase price of £8million with Stoke, which was agreed before the coronavirus pandemic, but the Robins appear unlikely to enact that clause”
“The player earns in the region of £35,000 a week, and City are likely to assess other options this summer”.

No surprise. I think we will have to try to get something out of him come pre season

They could pay me £35,000 a week and I'd bring a lot more to the club than Afobe is doing.

If he doesn't want to be here then we need to find a way to get rid of him. Tough ask when you see those wages.
FFP has made it difficult for MON to do what he needs to do, get the wasters gone. I'm sure the club would sell players at losses if not fear of point deduction.
There's rumours FFP in the championship will be different next year, so if we are in it we may actually be able to do what's needed, get a clean slate or as close to it as possible.
FFP in League 1 is different with salary caps against turnover, this would allow us to do the same without point penalty.

You would think that if League 1 and 2 go ahead next season, that the salary cap thing will also be modified. With only a hand full of clubs getting over the 10k average attendance that the income figures are going to be be taking a nose dive. It really does show just how important it is to stay in the Championship. All of this "lets go down and rebuild" is quite frankly commercial suicide.

Depends if MON sees his future here and can use him properly. 8M and 35K for someone who's lost his is an ask. I can't imagine any club paying that. We really did spend like bat-shit-crazy MFs when we came down didn't we?
