Sorry but he took two easy balls and made a hash of a corner was it ? like I said can only deal what is thrown at you which in his case was very little absolutely nothing to say he was an improvement apart from seeing things that weren't there. I doubt many keepers will have quieter debuts. He generally looked in charge of his area and confident in himself. Some keepers make you feel nervous by their demeanour, as Jack has for some time, and some don’t. The defence seemed less jittery in front of him today and hopefully he will do well for us. He had a great last season at Barnsley and was made Captain, and maybe he can solve one of our problems, after waiting a long time, for some strange reason, for a chance. Did nothing Butland didn't do against Barnsley and made an error at Brentford to be fair. I think the defence was less jittery as has nothing to deal with. Our only scare was a cross Davies dropped and the ref did us a favour.

Davies has played in in two promoted sides. He was Barnsley’s player of the month a few times and made captain. Just maybe he’s a good keeper? Think I’ll stay positive about him until he proves me wrong. (If he’s given the chance, of course, and I hope he is)

My point was that today is nonsense to heap praise for organising the defence and dominating his box etc when the opposition were clueless

Yep Davies starts all day over Jack - even if Jack wasn't injured - can't be sentimental

Eg., Huddersfield at home, Middlesbrough home and away and QPR and Hull away. Today they looked organised determined and more assured - was a bit of that down to Davies? And Clucas as Captain? Maybe. Fingers crossed.

I thought it was a really professional, hard working display from the whole team and a well deserved 3 points. Didn't realise that Clucas had a right foot but that was a very good finish. Another goal or two to reflect the quality of chances we created would have been nice, but, I am not greedy. It is a game that I would have enjoyed if I was sitting in my usual seat behind the goal on the Boothen where every blade of grass and every player are always in view because I would have been confident that Birmingham were never going to score. However, I find watching even that match on the livestream incredibly stressful just in case a player appears from out of camera shot and I am now absolutely exhausted. At a push I can just about watch the Stoke stream (because at least the commentators and reviewers are looking at the game from a similar perspective to myself) and I have now seen us win twice, but I don't think the old ticker can cope with watching on Sky again.

I've literally never heard of him. Decent interview though.
As much as I don't like Birmingham I hope they take his words on board and beat Charlton on Wednesday.....

Just looked at his career and he's worked his way up through the leagues so fair play to him.....
