Comment of the day from the Sky commentary team - ' he did well to beat a keeper as good as Butland from there'! Have they watched him all season?!

Butland least of our concerns, the gutless niaeve defending in front of him is the reason we are in the shit. First second and third ball is not contested, we stand off, and lack a team effort to dig in and defend.

Actually think jack may well have aroused some interest today. No chance with goals and some good saves.
People will look at that and think "he's got no chance behind that shower".

Yes he didn't actually do anything wrong today and it will have been a reminder to the football world that there's a man who needs a move.

3 defenders onto Bamford for that last goal, Butland wasn't at fault for any of them. Shit cowardly performance following Smiths lunge, no fight or heart. Go in at 0-0 and its a different game, not saying we would have got anything but we would have been competative.

He’s a shadow of his former self. He never comes off his line and other teams know he’s vulnerable at the near post. We should have sold him when we had a chance. Can’t see any PL team touching him with a shitty stick.

He wasn’t at fault but fook me I wish he’d do something with penalties. Pathetic with them.

Just watched all five goals on Sky and no way can you blame Butland for any of them. The penalty. He makes a decision to go to his left and it's the wrong one. By all means blame Jack for some of his howlers but he didn't drop any tonight. The defence in front of him must take all of the blame for those goals. That tackle by Smith for the penalty was a moment of criminal negligence.
OS.

It’s like he’s tossed a coin 25 times and got the wrong outcome on each occasion.....

I think your being generous there Dave. No glaring mistakes but thought some of the goals would have been saved by a decent keeper.

He shakes like a shitting dog on his goal line. Doesn't move, his own shadow puts the willies up him and his penalties, he always flops down to his right as if Johhny Ball is dancing around on the post with a magnet.

He’s conceded his EIGHTEENTH consecutive penalty today.
It’s harsh to expect a keeper to save a penalty, but eighteen in a row?
He has to be the worse penalty stopper I’ve ever seen in 35 years of watching lots of football. His “technique” is laughably poor, falling pathetically to his right early leaving an easy tap in for the taker.

The second was down to Chester, however Butland should have read the play and come flying off his line. Hes bouncing up and down like Zebedee

When Federici was playing I thought he was doing alright,he came off his line to collect the ball when he could, this is what you want as a defender,a keeper screeming for the ball and taking the pressure off...I know the defence is shit, but when you have a keeper behind you who doesn't know wether to stick or twist and doesn't take command, then that in turn can make defenders get themselves into trouble...not that they need any help !!I don't agree that Butland wasn't at fault for any of the goals,he doesn't actually push off and dive, his feet go from underneath him and he actually remains in the same spot !! O'Neill dropped Federici when he came in , and put Butland in because he has played for England don't you know....BIG,BIG mistake and he seems unable to admit to the fact by continuing to not only pick him,but to also put more pressure on him by making him captain..... Jesus, you reap what you sow !!!

We've steadily gone shitter and shitter since he's been our number 1. Not all is his fault but he's by no means blameless.
Get rid, cash in.
