Well, he is not Prem quality but he was damn good today. You have earned your wage.

Not the most gifted player but the thing I like is that he's a trier. Not sure whether he's good enough on the ball to be a regular starter but in relation to what his job is he's the best we have at the club.

My MOTM today. Went about his job in midfield efficiently with minimal fuss. Was a bit worried he started off a bit crazy horse but it worked out well. Underrated player for me. As was Whelan,it’s not a spectacular role but he does the defensive job well and is as fit as a butchers dog.

Shows how people see things different in games, I thought he was poor today, not composed on the ball and very hurried at times.

I don't think he was that good today. Didn't impose himself as he did in the Barnsley game and not as disciplined.

He’s ok and had a good game today
He’s not the quality of player you need for a promotion push, neither is Thompson.
Busy summer for MON

I guess Allen and Clucas will be first choice anyway so a good man on the bench he will be! I also hope Oakley-Booth and Sørensen will improve and compete for places!

I don’t think he gets about as much for someone whose a holding midfielder.
Feels like there’s 20minutes gone by before he’s involved in any sort of action.

He was good today.
He's not a top end player at this level. I don't know what Jones was thinking.
However, the likes of Jordan Cousins certainly aren't the problem at stoke. He's a limited player, he can't really pass or score, but when he is aggressive and up for it like he was in the first half he can do a job as a squad player at this level

In a minority of 1 who defended him after the opening game v QPR and have been in a minority of very few who have defended him throughout the season.
I can see his limitations but I like the lad and think he'll be a very useful player for us in the Championship years ahead.

Was expecting the new Dave Rowson but instead get more the new Dave Kevan

Limited player but no frills and no fuss with him. Will be cheap and won't cause us any issues as and when he gets moved out of the side. Absolutely every successful squad has a couple of these types of players in it. Never understood the criticism of him, apart from the obvious links to Nathan Jones.

Decent enough today, I'd say he's like a poor version of whelan in terms of what he does for the team, although whelo did have a a good clip on him now and then.

Of the few players in this squad I'd want to keep for the rebuild, he's one of them. Not because I see him as an integral part of what will hopefully be our gradual improvement, but his value as a squad player. Will always put a shift in, won't let you down or complain when he's out of the side and is good enough to do a solid job when required, even if it's for an extended period. You need players like that in a good squad.

I took an interest in Cousins from the QPR match because of the way he was written off on this board before he'd even kicked a ball. From day one he looks to me like a tidy DM at this level - good engine, gets stuck in and breaks up play. He'll never catch the eye but that's the nature of his job as much as anything. Most of the bad reports about on his performances for us on here were written before the QPR game.

He's like a Dean Whitehead apprentice.
If he ever hits his max potential we might just about squeeze that out of him every 2 or 3 games.
but beggars cant be choosers at the minute.

He's not destined for first choice DM next season if we have any ambition to be anything but ordinary, but he's a good squad player. We'll need to buy a starter or even loan a good one with a view to buying perhaps.
