Fans going down to the ground to voice their opinions would have been justified IMHO, especially in light of the last few pathetic performances considering we were and are in a precarious position. Like I said, good job they didn't after today's result. To call fellow Stoke fans " absolute weapons" when they only wanted to be proactive in improving the situation we find ourselves in is, I think out of order..

The absolute state of some of you lot on this board. Hang your heads in shame. We had 8 points from 14 games when MON came in. We needed a miracle to even have a sniff of staying up. The form since he arrived has been play off form, with a squad that looked fucking awful before he arrived. We had never scored 3 goals in a game in about 100 years before he arrived, then we start scoring 3, 4 and 5 goals for fun after. We had a couple of shit performances after lockdown (and lets be honest, they were absolutely fucking woeful) and then some start actually questioning the manager (after the walking on water he'd done in the months previous) and even talk of protests?! Jesus wept. The manager isn't beyond criticism, and he deserves a bit of stick for some of his team selections and tactics from the past couple of games, but some of the hyperbole and utter arse gravy spouted on this board in the aftermath was way above and beyond anything warranted. You wouldn't know a good thing if it smacked you in the face. Pasting an absolutely dire Barnsley is nothing more than the bare minimum. What you're writing is the same attitude those jokers on the stream were spouting "Ince has silenced his critics" like not even close... Results like this paper over the cracks from the decisions made in the last two games people have a right to be fucked off with it.

To call fellow Stoke fans " absolute weapons" when they only wanted to be proactive in improving the situation we find ourselves in is, I think out of order.. They weren't absolute weapons for being pissed off about performances and wanting to do something about it - they were absolute weapons for threatening to do something that would clearly make the situation even worse.

Insecurities were exacerbated by the fact that the other teams around us were picking up points, while we seemed to have started off in a bit of a tailspin. What has been demonstrated is how close we still are to being relegated, despite the good feelings after the Hull game. Leeds, Brentford and Forest look very daunting, even more than before. We have to get six points from Bristol (who look worse than us) and Birmingham. Anything less, and we will need snookers.

We should have been protesting under Nath. MON has been unbelievable. Give it a rest. Give what a rest exactly? The o'neill out suggestion was daft but his team selections have been questionable. On the 21st of Jan we were 5 points clear of the bottom 3, now it's 2 points with boro with a game in hand. Why were we 5 points clear? After being 90 points adrift?

Hang on - we're still only 2 points above the drop-zone aren't we? Would you have taken that when MON joined? I'd have snapped your hand off. I'd have said you were a lunatic for even suggesting it.

Previous manager and shite attitude players mainly. Once still looked shite when he came in despite the goal (good finish). See Mad Nath reverted to type today.

We were a defeat away from being 2nd bottom after 3 dismal performances that showed zero encouragement or positives to take, people were right to be angry/weary. This 100% But then he stood in front of the cameras ...... it was raw ..... the candour ..... the emotion ....... the hurt He cares ........ and today showed it

I would say I said that hinting that we won 4 and it's a good job they didn't line the route in yelling shit at the players before they arrived else it could have been a very different outcome?

To be fair barnsley have kept 6 clean sheets in their last 8 games so winning 4-0 based on form is a very good result.

Fuck me you can tell the pubs are open What a thoroughly useless post that was, didn't address a single one of my points. What sort of manager would I deserve exactly? I was dead against NJ and GR. I wanted one of Bruce or Warnock. Jury is out on MON regardless of how daft you think it is, he's got more than one horror show decision in him, you've said as such above. He's not above criticism and today doesn't fix that.

Maybe Pep will turn up tomorrow, bring Messi and Ronaldo, get us promoted and you might be happy. Maybe.

You failed to mention that form. Hardly papering over cracks. How many teams have given Barnsley a pasting of late? Been in good form.
