A reality check for the players knowing their back in the bottom three. Pre lockdown i am sure we and all and players/management were confident Championship football would be achieved with the mentality that existed.
Now reality has hit and all the other teams are fighting hard for their championship lives. We now have to hope the players and management wake up and fight in all 6 remaining games as we have on paper the toughest run in.
O'Neill now must know Collins is no RB (but a capable CB with a seasoned CH next to him) and Ward would struggle in a veterans league and start playing the players in their effective positions. The midfield with no leadership or organisation.
We cannot play as poorly as the last 3 games. I would play Butland as no other option, defence Smith / Shawcross/ Collins/ BMI (best we have available) but Batth and Chester will probably be the CB. Cousins in front the back 4 then we need Powell and Campbell for pace and creativity so McLean on the left Clucas in midfield and join the attack and either Thompson (away) or Ince (home) as the other midfielder.

Our run in is like the 'Charge of the Light Brigade' "Cannons to the left of em, cannons to the right of em, into the valley of death rode the brave 600" Except our lot aren't brave.

I can’t understand what Smith did to be dropped in the first place? Collins has been fucking useless at right back if we are honest, I don’t understand O’Neils thinking at all. Shawcross is done. Completely and utterly done. If he isn’t getting injured he’s playing terribly. It’s hard to watch and say but it’s the true truth. Chester has to play and unfortunately it has to be Batth (who is also shit) or Collins who doesn’t have experience on his side , especially in this situation. Indi has to play left back because Ward is One of the worst footballers I’ve witnessed play for us Midfield we are pretty fucked. Allen’s injury has left our lack of squad options hugely exposed. And now Thompson has to start alongside Clucas- Cousins isn’t a footballer. All this being said. We’re done. I’m resigned to it now, what a complete shambles of a season, again

Might be the kick up the arse we need to get going again. It's still in our hands and the players are more than good enough, they just need to want it enough. Hopefully we get a reaction after the bollocking they received from MON. It’s not in our hands, we are relying on Wigan being deducted points which is an embarrassment in its self. Please name one player in that squad that is “more than good enough” If we win all our games we are safe, unlikely maybe but still it's not impossible. Powell is a decent player and we need him linking up more with Campbell, he is a natural finisher given the chances. I think the key to us staying up is Campbell scoring and maybe Vokes chipping in if needed coming off the bench for a change of formation. We just need to find a way to give him those chances.

Hopefully we get a reaction after the bollocking they received from MON. These players have had numerous chances at kicks up the arse starts and not taken a single one. It seems like yesterday that Butland was doing his weekly “we are determined to put things right, we have a good group” etc bollocks as we crashed out of the Premier League. They are spineless losers and no reason at all why they will take this latest predicament any more seriously than the shit we’ve been in in for the last three or four years. The sooner they all bugger off the sooner we can start again. We need these players to keep us up, we are not down yet but as pissed off as we all are we still need to support them for the remaining games. The manager has done well to get us into this situation against the odds, I have a little bit of faith left that he can scrape us over the line.

We need to get some momentum and it has to start in our next game.

Coates has destroyed this club. For 3 years he has presided over this shit show. Any of you still holding him in high regard are also culpable in this mess. Shameful. All started with the appointment of Cheapo yes man Lambert at the most crucial point. Been a steady decline ever since. Enjoy it boys as you watch cross eyed unfit cnuts shoot it sideways. League one will be rough, we are not near the bottom of this well yet.
