If he's lost the dressing-room then change the dressing-room. Five managers since 2018 suggests it's the dressing-room at fault. Nearly seven years ago Ellis Short left the players in no doubt that they ruled the roost. Now look where we are. Back your manager, even if you go down, but whatever division you're in when July ends let him clean out the poison and build a squad as he would wish it.

I think the answer is very much no in hindsight, which bodes well for the run in......

Notable that when Jones and Rowett called out players (usually with justification), performances got even worse. Today’s result after O’Neill absolutely hammered them all publicly says a lot I think. Well done MON.

Not only did he find the dressing room today but he turned it into a luxury spa.

Very interesting that he said there were things in the dressing room that he didn’t like but he couldn’t change it until the end of the season, Would love to know what he is referring to

One thing I will say about MON though when he's on the back foot he tends to get a result. I think he's a fairly calm manager win, lose or draw, the Wigan debacle was about as angry as I've ever seen him.....

As I've said before, he's not the most outspoken of managers and his demeanour is quite understated.
But no-one should take him to be a soft touch, since he's anything but.

That's exactly the point though isn't it. A strong manager who commands respect will hammer (or praise) a player as appropriate in private but defend them (or at least not name them) publicly. That's man management.
