He is playing like he doesn't want to get injured , perhaps off somewhere else now he is a free agent

Maybe Chester can play at left back, I really don't know, but Indi needs to be replaced too. Chester should clearly not be picked to play in central defence for the rest of the season as long as we have Batth, Shawcross, Collins and Lindsay to pick from! Chestert should be 5th or 6th choice!

I’d definitely try and get Ryan back if fit and move Chester to LB with Collins coming in if possible

Because he's O'Neill's signing. So he plays. If O'Neill didn't pick JC, it would be like losing face and admitting it was a poor signing.

I just hope the suits haven't done something stupid like a 'must play if fit' clause or 'must play a certain percentage of games' clause.

Another solid Championship defender, higy regarded when at Villa, who's gone to rat shit in a Stoke top. I'm sure they're going to one day discover that CoviD actually had its origins at the Bet365!

But managers who don't rectify their mistakes, will soon find themselves out of a job. As Lambert, Rowett, and Jones found out. O'Neill will eventually be next, although I hope it will be quite a while before that happens.

Mainly excelled in a back 3 though and came in on the back of a bad injury. Two of the reasons I didn't want him. The third being that it blocked Collins' path. Always a very odd signing.

Uncanny isn't it. Afobe, Ince, Hogan, Gregory. All proven performers until they sign up on the dotted line at SCFC.

And as opposed really with the odd exception by the four I mentioned, Vokes was proven adequate in the Premier League too !

He looks decent in the box and is a strong target man as well.

He plays like someone who has recovered from a pretty serious knee injury and is worried about it happening again and ending his career.
Oh wait, he had a serious injury and has talked often about his need to manage it.

If he keeps playing them both we are going to struggle. I don't get Thompson. The good things have mainly been dribbling and driving forward but we've seen none of that in these last two games. Defensively in them he might as well not have been there, at least Sorensen has the wear with all to kick them so they can't carry on past him.

If it’s a choice between Lindsey and Chester then play with ten, both are a liability of the highest order, and you can add Indy to that list as well

I think Thompson has some good attributes, he obviously has a decent left foot and can pick a pass. I think like others he has suffered from Allen's enforced absence. He is still young and learning and is not yet ready to be the main man in midfield. I think there is a good player in there, he just needs a leader and play maker alongside him.

He's been about the worst player of these two games imo. He is young and learning but he's been atrocious and if was a mighty fuck up starting him on Saturday after Reading.
